Job description

Seeking a Security Systems Manager for a direct hire opportunity with our client in Melbourne, FL.

This position offers full benefits including PTO, Medical, Dental, Vision, fuel reimbursement, and commission opportunities!

Pay: $30 - $35 hourly (based on experience)

This role serves as the technical authority for security projects, leads field teams, supports estimating efforts, and maintains strong client relationships. 
Key Responsibilities
Technical Leadership

  • Lead the installation, programming, commissioning, and service of CCTV, access control, intrusion detection, and intercom systems.
  • Serve as the primary technical resource for security and access control projects.
  • Supervise and mentor field technicians, ensuring compliance with manufacturer standards, licensing requirements, and applicable codes.
  • Troubleshoot complex system issues and implement effective solutions.
  • Coordinate with project managers, contractors, IT teams, and other trades to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation, including as-builts, programming records, and service logs.
Client Relations
  • Serve as a primary point of contact throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Conduct system demonstrations and end-user training.
  • Respond to client inquiries and service requests in a timely and professional manner.
  • Build and maintain long-term client relationships to support future business opportunities.
Estimating & Project Support
  • Perform site surveys and security assessments.
  • Prepare project estimates including equipment, labor, programming, and licensing costs.
  • Support proposal development and collaborate with sales teams on project opportunities.
  • Review project specifications and ensure solutions align with budget and operational requirements.
Required Qualifications
  • Florida Alarm System Agent License (FASA) and BASA license (or equivalent Florida-recognized licensing).
  • 5+ years of experience installing and servicing commercial security, surveillance, and access control systems.
  • Experience leading technicians or working in a supervisory role.
  • Strong knowledge of IP-based cameras, NVR/DVR systems, VMS platforms, and access control technologies.
  • Understanding of low-voltage systems, networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, VLANs, PoE), and related IT infrastructure.
  • Strong communication and client-facing skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365.
  • Valid Florida driver's license and ability to pass a background check.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Avigilon, Avigilon Alta, Alula, Kisi, Lenel, Genetec, Milestone, DMP, DSC, Bosch, Honeywell, Brivo, Feenics, or similar platforms.
  • ESA/NBFAA certifications (ESNT, CAT I/II) or manufacturer certifications.
  • Experience in government, healthcare, public safety, or federally regulated environments.
  • Familiarity with NDAA-compliant systems, Public Safety DAS, video analytics, LPR, and AI-based surveillance technologies.
  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.
