PreSales Engineer Physical Security Overview:
We're looking for an experienced Physical Security Sales Engineer who thrives at the intersection of technology and customer success, someone who can bridge the gap between sales and delivery, bring clarity to complex solutions, and help customers reimagine what's possible with both cloud-based and on-premise video, access control, and integrated security systems.
This is a high-impact role where your expertise directly influences project design, margin growth, and customer satisfaction. You'll work alongside an ambitious sales team and an engineering organization committed to continuous learning and innovation.
PreSales Engineer Physical Security Responsibilities:
• Partner with Account Executives to qualify opportunities, develop system designs, and create winning proposals that solve customer challenges.
• Perform site evaluations, system walkthroughs, and technology consultations to ensure each solution is technically sound and scalable.
• Deliver engaging technical presentations and live sales demonstrations that showcase solution capabilities and value.
• Translate technical details into clear, customer-facing value propositions.
• Design and present both cloud-managed and on-premise architecture based on client needs and environment.
• Collaborate closely with project management and field engineering teams to ensure smooth handoff and successful delivery.
• Maintain up-to-date expertise in physical security, networking, IoT, and integration technologies.
• Contribute to RFP responses, solution architecture, and pre-sales documentation that reflect our high standards of accuracy and professionalism.
PreSales Engineer Physical Security Qualifications:
• Experience in sales engineering, system design, or technical account management within the physical security or low-voltage integration industry.
• Hands-on knowledge of video surveillance (VMS/NVR), access control, and networking fundamentals.
• Familiarity with leading platforms such as Avigilon Alta, Avigilon Unity, OpenEye, Salient, Axis, HID, Mercury, Software House, or similar.
• Strong communication skills, equally comfortable in the field, on a video call, or presenting to executives.
• A self-starter mindset, natural curiosity, and drive to make things happen.
