Responsibilities of the Operations Manager include, but are not limited to:

  • Manage and oversee all day-to-day operations of the facility.
  • Manage and provide leadership to the Production Manager, Purchasing Manager, and Engineering & Project Management Manager.
  • Provide direction and support for production, engineering, customer, vendor, supply, building, and equipment issues.
  • Coordinate maintenance, repairs, supplies, vendors, and facility needs.
  • Resolve day-to-day problems and escalate issues when necessary.
  • Coordinate local events and employee activities.
  • Serve as the local contact for DXP/corporate.
  • Implement policies and requirements at the facility.
  • Provide information and support needed to meet deadlines and objectives.

Qualifications of the Operations Manager include, but are not limited to:

  • 10+ years of experience in operations management
  • Previous experience working in a pump manufacturing facility preferred.
  • Strong financial acumen, with experience in budgeting and P&L management.
  • Familiarity with ERP or distribution software is a plus.
  • Strong people skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be a self-motivated team player.
  • Effective and proven leader.
