Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and organized Assistant Property Manager to support the daily operations of our property management team. This job is M-F from 8-4.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in property management and leasing, along with excellent customer relationship management skills. This role requires a proactive individual who can handle various administrative tasks while ensuring the satisfaction of our tenants and maintaining compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the management of property leasing processes, including tenant screenings and lease agreements.
  • Coordinate property maintenance activities and ensure timely resolution of maintenance requests.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with tenants, addressing their concerns and inquiries effectively.
  • Utilize Yardi or similar property management software for record-keeping, tenant communications, and financial tracking.
  • Manage conflict resolution among tenants and facilitate communication to promote a harmonious living environment.
  • Ensure compliance with Section 8 regulations and other relevant housing laws.
  • Negotiate lease terms and renewals with prospective tenants to maximize occupancy rates.
  • Maintain accurate files for all tenant-related documents, including leases, correspondence, and maintenance records.
  • Support the Property Manager in administrative tasks as needed to ensure smooth operations.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1+ years of office/clerical experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in completing tasks
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively
