Position Summary
Menahga Public Schools is seeking a dependable, organized, and student-focused individual to serve in an eleven-month secretarial/clerical position supporting student services, building administration, and the district's athletic department.
The successful candidate will provide professional administrative support, maintain accurate student and athletic records, assist students, families, staff, and community members, and handle confidential information with discretion. Strong organizational, communication, computer, and customer-service skills are essential.
Primary Responsibilities
Student Support / Principal Administrative Assistant
  • Provide administrative and clerical support to the building principal and student support functions.
  • Process and maintain Menahga Online enrollments and student records.
  • Assist with student transcripts, records, and related documentation.
  • Monitor and maintain accurate student attendance records.
  • Assist with documentation and recordkeeping related to student discipline.
  • Communicate professionally with students, parents/guardians, staff, and community members.
  • Maintain confidentiality of student and personnel information.
  • Assist with correspondence, forms, reports, and other administrative tasks.

Athletic Department / Athletic Director Support
  • Provide clerical and administrative support to the Athletic Director.
  • Coordinate and maintain records related to athletic lettering.
  • Assist with planning and organization of athletic banquets and recognition events.
  • Assist with athletic scheduling, including maintaining accurate schedules and communicating schedule changes.
  • Assist with Bound registration and scheduling.
  • Maintain accurate athletic participation and eligibility records.
  • Communicate athletic information to students, families, coaches, staff, and other schools as needed.
  • Assist with athletic forms, registrations, correspondence, and event-related administrative tasks.

Infinite Campus / Student Registration
  • Maintain and update student information in Infinite Campus.
  • Assist with annual and ongoing student registration.
  • Process and maintain open enrollment information and documentation.
  • Assist families with registration questions and required paperwork.
  • Ensure student records are accurate, complete, and maintained in accordance with district procedures.

Additional Responsibilities
  • Provide general office support as needed.
  • Answer telephones, greet visitors, and respond to routine inquiries.
  • Maintain organized electronic and paper records.
  • Assist with district and building communications.
  • Support other administrative staff as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the building principal, Athletic Director, or district administration.

This is an eleven-month position supporting the ongoing administrative, student, registration, and athletic needs of Menahga Public Schools throughout the school year and designated summer months.
