Job description

Job Overview

Department: Hotels

Location: US, Boston

Compensation: $32.59 / hour

What others do by day, you do best by night (including perfect cappuccinos at 3:00 AM). You want to greet the whole world, one person at a time – even when they’re sleepy.

Responsibilities
  • Make sure everyone gets a warm welcome as soon as they walk in.
  • Assist guests at the self check‑in kiosks (we have no reception desk).
  • Prepare and serve hot and cold breakfast and meals.
  • Be a kitchen hero – dishwashing, kitchen cleaning, food handling, and cooking.
  • Brewing delicious coffee or mixing a signature cocktail.
  • Serve as a secret concierge to the city, answering guests’ questions about the best places to visit, eat, shop, or party.
  • Maintain the living room and clean canteenM, and arrange food displays for the following shift.
  • Help guests with any requests or demands regarding our facilities (you may even gain new tech skills).
  • Handle reservations in the property‑management system (PMS), including the nightly audit.
  • Hold the keys to the castle and be responsible for operations during night shifts.
  • Care for guests, including in emergency situations.
Qualifications
  • A genuine touch: Treat all people as you would treat your best friends.
  • A passionate attitude: Be collaborative, optimistic, and spread good vibes.
  • A smart thinker: Find simpler, better, and bolder ways to do things; curiosity and attention to detail are essential.
  • Real caring: Show empathy for people and the planet, and be open to other viewpoints and experiences that bring out the best in you.
  • Fluency in English (other language skills are welcome).
  • United States citizenship or appropriate authorization to work in the United States (we cannot facilitate visas or work permits).
  • Ability to travel for training purposes.
Typical Shift

Our hotel operates 24/7 with a rotating flexible schedule. Night shift hours are overnight: 11:00 pm – 7:30 am. Ability to work weekends is required.

Benefits
  • Competitive pay of $32.59 per hour.
  • Bonus potential up to 10% monthly based on impact on the team, guest satisfaction, and financial performance.
  • Medical, dental, and vision benefits at an extremely low employee cost.
  • Life insurance and 401(k).
  • Nights at any citizenM hotel worldwide (business permitting).
  • Extensive time‑off balance starting at 18 days in your first year.
  • Exclusive citizenM outfit and comfortable shoes by On Running.
  • Meal and coffee (or tea) on us during your shift break.
  • Employee Assistance Program (EAP).
  • Referral program rewards.
  • Opportunities to travel to other citizenM properties.
