Position Description:

Responsibilities

  • Work in partnership with the Practicum Director to manage activities related to practicumvetting,selection, placement, and monitoring.
  • InterpretsCSWEpolicies, procedures and agency expectations to the students andpracticumliaisons.
  • Work with students across MSW and BSW programs to securepracticum placements that meet educational and professional standards.
  • Cultivate,maintainand vet agency partnerships that meet CSWE standards.
  • Providetimelysupport and problem solve concerns between students, the program, and agency partnerships.
  • Monitor grant updates to ensure that students on conditional grants are appropriately placed at agencies that meet their grant requirements.
  • Assistwith data managementsystem (Experiential Learning Cloud).

Qualifications

  • A minimum of twoyears pf professional experience in clinical and/or macro social work practiceor similar field.
  • A commitment to social justice,accessibilityjustice, and anti-oppressive practice.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Experience serving as a practicum liaison, supervisor, or advisor.

Preferred Skills

  • A master's degree in social work (MSW) from a CSWE accredited program.

Seattle University has provided a compensation range that represents its good faith estimate of what the University may pay for the position at the time of posting. The salary offered to the selected candidate will be determined based on factors such as the qualifications of the selected candidate, departmental budget availability, internal salary equity considerations, and available market information, and not based on a candidate's gender or any other protected status.

Positions designated as hybrid eligible may offer the opportunity for a hybrid work schedule after successful completion of an introductory period of 3-6 months. In these cases, the role typically begins fully on campus to support onboarding and training, with the potential to transition to a hybrid arrangement thereafter.

Positions designated as on-site are not eligible for hybrid work and are expected to remain fully on campus.
