Department: Restaurant Services
Employment Type: Prep Cook
Status: Non-Exempt
Grade Level: Hourly
Pay Rate: $18/hour.
Reports To: Seasonal supervisors, Managers and Full-Time Management Staff
Hours: 8:00 AM-6:00 PM, dependent on weather and guest attendance; schedule subject to change through the spring, summer, and Holiday of Lights. Hours are subject to change on short notice depending on weather and needs of the business. Special event hours may be required, including Holiday Lights, with shifts ending at 11 PM.
Requirements
    1-2 years' experience working in a professional kitchen, preferably in high volume production.
    Strong knowledge of basic cooking techniques, food safety, and sanitation standards.
    Ability to work efficiently while maintaining attention to details.
    Effective communication and teamwork skills.
    Flexibility to work mornings, evenings, weekends and scheduled holidays as needed.
Skills & Responsibilities
    Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes, portion guidelines, and presentation standards.
    Set up and maintain a clean, organized workstation, ensuring proper ingredient preparation and storage.
    Follow food safety and sanitation protocols, including proper labeling, dating, and rotation of ingredients.
    Work closely and respectfully with the kitchen team to coordinate production and ensure timely service.
    Assist with receiving, stocking, and managing inventory to maintain freshness and minimize waste.
    Adapt to changing kitchen needs, assisting with prep work, station changes, cleaning schedules, and other tasks as required.
    Maintain professionalism in a fast-paced, client-driven environment.
