JOB DESCRIPTIONCOMMUNITY COUNSELING CENTER OF MERCER COUNTY SEASONAL MAINTENANCE WORKER (Maintenance Worker 1) REGULAR HOURS OF WORK WORK IS: MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY WITH OCCASIONAL WEEKEND WORKHOURS 8:00a.m. - 4:00p.m. X TEMPORARY/SEASONAL (MAY THROUGH SEPTEMBER)EXPLAIN ROTATION OF SHIFTS (IF ANY): POSITION: The Seasonal Custodial/Maintenance Worker can be a self-starter or work as a team player. He/she is responsible for quality maintenance and some custodial duties at agency buildings and vehicles. This person will be able to work alone and be able to pace himself/herself to get job duties done in a timely manner. Must be able to trouble shoot and ascertain importance of emergency situations versus everyday work needing done. Reports directly to Maintenance Supervisor. QUALIFICATIONS: A semi-skilled person who can maintain a group of buildings by performing groundskeeping and occasional maintenance duties. Must have a driver's license. Must be able to lift 50 pounds. RESPONSIBILITIES: Grounds maintenance and repair of buildings and equipment for all locations.Moving, clearing brush, general clean-upreplacing bulbs and switches, receptacles, and balustermaking minor repairs to machinerymixing cement or plasterpainting buildings, rooms, walls or other surfacestrimming & weeding flower beds and mulching shrub areas as neededplanting flowers or mulching as neededcleaning and sweeping walkspower washing and cleaning outside of building as neededmoving furnitureinventory & order parts as needed for minor repair workchanging filters in heating & air-cooling systems as requiredlight construction worklight mechanical dutiesCustodial duties a) Picking up trash outside in lawn area.b) Maintaining smoking containers.c) Operating and caring for vacuum sweepers, carpet cleaners, polishing machines or any other janitorial equipmentd) delivering suppliese) inventory and order supplies needed for job duties f) setting up & taking down tables for events g) cleaning floors and carpetsVan maintenanceDeliver vans to be servicedCheck oil, tires monthlyTake vans through car wash when neededIn extreme emergency situations, may need to substitute as van driverReplace brakes and rotorsTire RotationsOil changes, Fluid Levels maintainedChange of wipers, lights Will be present for estimates of potential outside contracted work performed at CCC buildings and report to immediate supervisor or CFO.Availability in extreme emergency situations Other job duties may be assigned.Maintains and upholds Community Counseling Center's policies, respects confidentiality, and exhibits a professional demeanor at all times while at work.Any violation of policies and procedures/job duties will be subject to disciplinary action.Performs other duties as assigned.Can perform the essential functions of this position with reasonable accommodations, if necessary.Participates in CCC CQI plan to ensure quality of service to CCC consumers.
