COMMUNITY COUNSELING CENTER OF MERCER COUNTY
SEASONAL MAINTENANCE WORKER (Maintenance Worker 1)
REGULAR HOURS OF WORK WORK IS:
MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY WITH OCCASIONAL WEEKEND WORK
HOURS 8:00a.m. - 4:00p.m. X TEMPORARY/SEASONAL (MAY THROUGH SEPTEMBER)
EXPLAIN ROTATION OF SHIFTS (IF ANY):
POSITION: The Seasonal Custodial/Maintenance Worker can be a self-starter or work as a team player. He/she is responsible for quality maintenance and some custodial duties at agency buildings and vehicles. This person will be able to work alone and be able to pace himself/herself to get job duties done in a timely manner. Must be able to trouble shoot and ascertain importance of emergency situations versus everyday work needing done. Reports directly to Maintenance Supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS: A semi-skilled person who can maintain a group of buildings by performing groundskeeping and occasional maintenance duties. Must have a driver's license. Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  1. Grounds maintenance and repair of buildings and equipment for all locations.
  2. Moving, clearing brush, general clean-up
  3. replacing bulbs and switches, receptacles, and baluster
  4. making minor repairs to machinery
  5. mixing cement or plaster
  6. painting buildings, rooms, walls or other surfaces
  7. trimming & weeding flower beds and mulching shrub areas as needed
  8. planting flowers or mulching as needed
  9. cleaning and sweeping walks
  10. power washing and cleaning outside of building as needed
  11. moving furniture
  12. inventory & order parts as needed for minor repair work
  13. changing filters in heating & air-cooling systems as required
  14. light construction work
  15. light mechanical duties
  16. Custodial duties
  17. a) Picking up trash outside in lawn area.
  18. b) Maintaining smoking containers.
  19. c) Operating and caring for vacuum sweepers, carpet cleaners, polishing machines or any other janitorial equipment
  20. d) delivering supplies
  21. e) inventory and order supplies needed for job duties
  22. f) setting up & taking down tables for events
  23. g) cleaning floors and carpets
  24. Van maintenance
  25. Deliver vans to be serviced
  26. Check oil, tires monthly
  27. Take vans through car wash when needed
  28. In extreme emergency situations, may need to substitute as van driver
  29. Replace brakes and rotors
  30. Tire Rotations
  31. Oil changes, Fluid Levels maintained
  32. Change of wipers, lights
  33. Will be present for estimates of potential outside contracted work performed at CCC buildings and report to immediate supervisor or CFO.
  34. Availability in extreme emergency situations
  35. Other job duties may be assigned.

  • Any violation of policies and procedures/job duties will be subject to disciplinary action.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Participates in CCC CQI plan to ensure quality of service to CCC consumers.
