Job description

Inside Sales Representative Job Purpose:

The Inside Sales Representative will support the Sales Department by maintaining and expanding the prospect list through phone, email, and other online channels. The Inside Sales Representative will build customer engagement by identifying potential customers’ needs and informing them about Legacy Group’s services. The Inside Sales Representative will work closely with the Sales Team to schedule meetings with potential prospects.

Inside Sales Representative Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Proactively source and qualify new sales opportunities through a combination of inbound lead follow-up and high-volume outbound cold calling (100–150 calls daily).
  • Effectively identify customer needs, pain points, and decision-makers, leveraging strong industry knowledge to generate interest and engagement.
  • Route qualified leads to appropriate sales executives for seamless handoff and advancement through the sales pipeline.
  • Consistently meet daily and weekly performance targets related to call volume, booked discovery calls, and pipeline contribution.
  • Conduct occasional account research using online resources to identify key contacts and uncover new opportunities for outreach and lead generation.
  • Utilize CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce) to track leads, manage pipelines, and report on sales activities and performance metrics.
  • Support additional sales initiatives as assigned.
  • Embrace and share organizational initiatives, company culture, and values.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Inside Sales Representative Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • One to three (1-3) years of inside sales experience, preferably in a high-volume sales environment.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and KPIs.
  • Strong phone presence and experience with a high volume of calls per day.
  • Proficient in CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Familiarity with sales tools such as ZoomInfo, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, or similar platforms is a plus.
  • Experience working with Salesforce is preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship building abilities.
  • Comfortable with cold calling and prospecting new clients.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
  • Self-motivated with a high level of initiative and a results-driven mindset.
  • Team player.
