Job description

This seasonal opportunity would begin in September of 2026 and run through March of 2027. (Option to extend possible based upon business levels.)
Availability to work a mix of mornings, days, nights and weekends is required.
Location: Home-base with responsibilities also at area locations and other offsite business when appropriate.
Job Description:
The candidate's role will include the set up, operation and removal of basic audio visual equipment on a day to day basis, and great face to face interactions with both meeting customers and hoteliers (also our customers). This position will also, upon qualifications, include the set-up, operation, and striking of higher end event equipment such as intelligent lighting equipment, digital audio consoles, and HD projection/video switching. The team member should be friendly, flexible to change at a moment's notice, be cognizant of the importance of safety for customers and their teammates, and genuinely enjoy serving others. Technical skills are important, but just as, if not more important, are customer service skills, energy, positive attitude, and drive. The candidate needs to be able to spend at least 8 hours a day on their feet, lift at least 25lbs above waist height, be able to travel to other venues, and have some MAC and Windows experience. Knowledge of high-speed networking is a plus.
Responsibilities: (General)
  • Build upon the AVmedia Culture, Core Values and Core Purpose by being a role model at all times. Forge excellent relationships with Family members and key customers whenever possible.
  • Setting and striking equipment in a swift, detail oriented, and safe manner.
  • Speaking with customers and hoteliers in a positive, friendly, and enthusiastic manner.
  • Documenting activities on a daily basis based on hotel or event site protocol.
  • Seeking out ways to improve the operation to include service and financial results.
  • Maintaining and protecting all assets at all times from damage, misuse or possible theft.

Requirements
Technical Skills:
  • Basic AV (flipcharts, microphones, laptops, breakout projection, screens, static lighting, audio (analog) mixers and speakers etc)
  • Knowledge of digital audio mixers, intelligent lighting, networking, advanced switching, HD projection a plus.

Qualifications:
The candidate does not have to have live event or hotel experience, but if they have already, it's a plus. Most important to us is the right fit in our AVmedia Family's culture.
