Memphis Audio is looking for a Commercial Audio, Video & Lighting Installation Technician (Low Voltage) to join our growing team.

This is primarily a field installation position. Most of your time will be spent installing commercial audio, video, lighting, acoustical treatment, and low-voltage infrastructure in churches, schools, businesses, government facilities, and performance venues.


Responsibilities:


  • Install commercial audio, video, lighting, and acoustical treatment systems.
  • Pull, terminate, test, and label low-voltage cabling.
  • Install speakers, displays, projectors, lighting equipment, cameras, equipment racks, and related hardware.
  • Build, wire, and install equipment racks.
  • Read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and installation drawings.
  • Perform basic troubleshooting and service calls on commercial audio, video, and lighting systems.
  • Maintain clean, organized, and professional job sites.
  • Safely operate ladders, lifts, scaffolding, power tools, and hand tools.


Qualifications:


  • Experience installing commercial audio/video systems or other commercial low-voltage systems such as structured cabling, fire alarm, security, CCTV, access control, or telecommunications.
  • Enjoys working in the field and prefers installation over desk work.
  • Fast, efficient, and takes pride in producing high-quality work.
  • Experienced pulling cable and making clean, reliable terminations.
  • Comfortable building and wiring equipment racks.
  • Able to read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and installation drawings.
  • Comfortable using power tools and hand tools.
  • Able to safely work from ladders, lifts, and scaffolding.
  • Physically capable of lifting equipment and occasionally working in attics and other demanding environments.
  • Positive attitude, dependable, self-motivated, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Able to perform basic troubleshooting and service work on commercial audio, video, and lighting systems.


Candidates with strong low-voltage installation experience are encouraged to apply, even if your background is in structured cabling, fire alarm, security, access control, telecommunications, or a related field.


Compensation: $24–$30 per hour, depending on experience.
