Job description

Role Overview:
Village Caregiving is seeking a highly organized and tech-savvy A/V Engineer to join our growing technology team. This unique, hybrid role serves two critical functions for our company, split evenly (50/50) between owning our audio/visual technology for live events and managing the physical lifecycle of our end-user computing hardware (laptops, phones, tablets).
The ideal candidate is just as comfortable provisioning an Android tablet and managing Mobile Device Management (MDM) policies as they are running a live mixing board, managing external contractors, and setting up cameras at a company event. You will act as the primary logistics point-of-contact for our Branch Directors across the country, ensuring they have the hardware they need, while also guaranteeing reliable, high-quality A/V connectivity at our Home Office and during off-site events.
Key Responsibilities:
Audio/Visual Engineering & Live Events (50%)
  • Live Event Production: Run live audio and video at internal and external company events. Ensure seamless connectivity, reliability, and high-quality broadcasts both locally and for remote attendees.
  • A/V Vendor Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for external A/V vendors, contractors, and venues. Manage equipment rentals, negotiate service agreements, and ensure all third-party setups meet internal company standards.
  • A/V Setup & Maintenance: Manage and support the audio/visual equipment in the Home Office, including complex conference room displays, microphones, and camera setups for company-wide meetings.
  • Equipment Handling & Standards: Maintain advanced familiarity with current A/V standards, cabling, and technology. Responsibly handle, transport, set up, and maintain all A/V equipment to prevent damage and ensure constant readiness.
  • Media Editing: Utilize strong audio and video editing skills to assist the executive and operations teams with post-production requests for internal training, communications, or presentations.

End-User Computing & Hardware Management (50%)
  • Device Provisioning: Act as the primary owner for configuring, packing, and shipping laptops, smartphones, and tablets to Home Office staff and Branch Directors nationwide.
  • Mobile Device Management (MDM): Administer our MDM platforms across multiple ecosystems (Apple Business Manager, Android MDM, and Chrome OS) to ensure all devices are compliant, secure, and properly tracked.
  • Lifecycle & Logistics: Manage the complete hardware lifecycle, including the retrieval, wiping, and recycling of equipment from offboarded employees.
  • Tier-2 Hardware Support: Provide remote troubleshooting for hardware-specific issues, including device lockouts, physical damage, and warranty replacements.
  • Inventory Control: Maintain accurate, real-time records of all physical IT assets and accessory stock in our Home Office.

Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated experience running live audio and video for events, with a strong track record of ensuring flawless local and remote network connectivity.
  • Advanced familiarity with A/V standards, signal flow, and professional equipment handling.
  • Experience managing external A/V vendors, negotiating equipment rentals, and coordinating with third-party event contractors.
  • Proficiency in audio and video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere, Final Cut, Adobe Audition, Logic Pro, etc.).
  • Proven experience in IT hardware support, inventory management, and end-user computing logistics.
  • Hands-on experience administering Mobile Device Management (MDM) tools across Apple (iOS/macOS), Android, and Chrome OS environments.
  • Strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail (you don't lose track of tracking numbers, and you don't misplace expensive A/V cables).
  • Travel Requirement: Must be willing and able to travel at least quarterly to support live A/V engineering and setups at off-site company events.
