Position TypeFull-Time
Position SummaryThis is a working management position. The Seafood Manager is expected to actively work alongside the team by cutting fish, grading live blue crabs, building garlic crab trays, operating commercial steamers, assisting customers, and leading daily seafood department operations. This is not a desk management position.
Primary Responsibilities• Supervise seafood associates.
 • Hire, train, coach, and schedule employees.
 • Cut, fillet, skin, scale, debone, and portion all varieties of fish.
 • Grade live blue crabs.
 • Operate commercial seafood steamers.
 • Order seafood and manage inventory, shrink, and gross profit.
 • Ensure excellent customer service.
 • Maintain HACCP, FDA, OSHA, and health department compliance.
Required Qualifications• Minimum five (5) years of hands-on seafood department experience in a grocery store, seafood market, or seafood retail environment (Required).
 • Minimum three (3) years of seafood department management or supervisory experience (Required).
 • Expert fish-cutting skills.
 • Experience grading live blue crabs.
 • Extensive commercial seafood steamer experience.
 • Strong leadership and communication skills.
 • Ability to lift 60 pounds.
 • Weekend and holiday availability.
