Position Overview

The Production Manager will drive back-of-house manufacturing excellence across our specialized equipment—including computerized multi-head embroidery machines, rotary/laser engraving systems, and heat presses. Reporting directly to executive leadership, you will organize job queues, maintain machine output, enforce strict quality standards, and mentor a close-knit production crew.

Key Responsibilities

  • Pre-Press & Artwork Prep: Review digital job proofs, prepare screens/artwork files, select thread/ink color profiles, and calibrate machine parameters for exact customer specifications.
  • Workflow & Deadline Management: Prioritize high-volume daily job queues to ensure all customer orders are completed accurately and shipped on time.
  • Quality Control Auditing: Perform rigorous end-to-end quality checks to inspect for stitch density, alignment, color consistency, and print/engraving precision before final packaging.
  • Preventative Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance, oiling, needle/blade replacements, and minor mechanical troubleshooting on all primary equipment to eliminate operational downtime.
  • Team Leadership & Process Improvement: Foster a positive work environment, train production staff, manage supply inventories, and continuously refine workflow procedures for maximum efficiency.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Industry Experience: 2+ years of hands-on experience in customized production, specifically in commercial embroidery, engraving, or screen printing setups.
  • Technical & Mechanical Aptitude: Strong mechanical skills with proven ability to troubleshoot production machinery and navigate computer-operated equipment software.
  • Attention to Detail: Meticulous eye for design alignment, thread tension, color matching, and substrate quality.
  • Professional Mindset: High-energy self-starter with excellent organizational, time-management, and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced setting.
  • Physical Demands: Comfort standing for extended periods and the physical ability to safely lift up to 20–30 lbs.

Compensation & Workplace Perks

  • Base Salary: Competitive pay negotiable based on industry experience.
  • Profit Sharing: Generous profit-sharing program allowing you to directly benefit from the company's growth and success.
  • Work-Life Balance: Consistent daytime schedule with weekends free for family.
  • Supportive Environment: Long-term career stability within a friendly, multi-generational family business.
