Position Summary

The Baker is responsible for preparing high-quality baked goods for residents, visitors, and employees while maintaining the highest standards of food quality, presentation, sanitation, and safety. This role plans and produces a variety of bakery items and desserts while supporting therapeutic and special dietary needs.

What You'll Do
  • Prepare fresh baked goods including breads, cakes, cookies, pies, pastries, and desserts.
  • Create products for specialized diets, including gluten-free, sugar-free, and diabetic-friendly options.
  • Follow both traditional and modern baking techniques and recipes.
  • Decorate pastries and desserts to create appealing and attractive presentations.
  • Plan bakery production according to menus and dietary requirements.
  • Monitor inventory levels and assist with supply ordering.
  • Maintain clean, organized, and sanitary workstations and equipment.
  • Collaborate with culinary team members to support meal service and special events.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety standards, department procedures, and long-term care regulations.ย 
QualificationsRequired Qualifications
