Job Title: Prep Cook (Full-Time)

Location: Appleton, WI
Schedule: Tuesday – Saturday (25-35 hours/week)
Position Type: Full-time, hourly


Job Summary


Stone Arch Brewpub is looking for a reliable, detail-oriented Prep Cook to join our culinary team. You will play a crucial role in our kitchen by prepping ingredients from scratch, maintaining a clean workspace, and ensuring our line cooks are set up for success. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and love working with fresh ingredients, we want to hear from you!


Key Responsibilities


  • Ingredient Preparation: Chop vegetables, make house-made sauces from scratch, and prepare various cuts of meat and fish for use on the line.
  • Batch Cooking: Prepare large batches of popular menu items to keep up with daily high-volume demand.
  • Portion Control: Accurately portion out food items according to standard recipes to ensure consistency and minimize waste.
  • Station Setup: Ensure the kitchen line is fully stocked and prepared ahead of lunch and dinner rushes.
  • Food Safety: Follow all food safety, sanitation, and handling procedures to maintain health department compliance.
  • Kitchen Cleanliness: Sanitize prep stations, organize the walk-in cooler, and properly label and date all prepared items.


Qualifications & Skills

  • Experience: Prior kitchen experience focusing on knife skills, protein preparation, and batch prep is preferred.
  • Self-Motivated: Adaptable to learning and taking on new tasks.
