Job Description

Job Summary

The Project Engineer supports the execution of packaged power generation projects by providing engineering coordination, technical oversight, and day-to-day support throughout the project lifecycle. Reporting to the Senior Project Manager - Engineering, this role focuses on technical execution, engineering deliverables, and cross-functional coordination to ensure projects are aligned with engineering standards, schedule requirements, and deployment plans.

The Project Engineer works closely with engineering, project management, supply chain, and field operations teams to support design alignment, equipment readiness, and issue resolution, while escalating technical risks and constraints as needed

Responsibilities

  • Support execution of packaged power generation projects by coordinating engineering deliverables from design through deployment.

  • Assist in defining and maintaining technical scope, engineering requirements, and drawing packages for assigned projects.

  • Review engineering documents, drawings, and specifications to ensure alignment with project scope and PROPWR standards.

  • Participate in engineering, project, and cross functional meetings to support design alignment and issue resolution.

  • Support integration of generator systems, electrical gear, balance of plant, and auxiliary equipment within project designs.

  • Assist with evaluation of engineering changes, technical risks, and field driven modifications; communicate impacts to the Senior Project Manager.

  • Coordinate technical inputs supporting equipment procurement, fabrication, and readiness for deployment.

  • Support troubleshooting efforts related to engineering, packaging, or equipment configuration issues.

  • Assist project management with technical data, reporting, and documentation needed for project execution.

  • Support field operations and commissioning teams with technical clarification and documentation as required.

  • Maintain compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies by attending all required

  • HSE training sessions, safety meetings, and always utilizing proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and safe driving practices

  • Perform other duties as assigned

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or related discipline) preferred.

  • 2-4 years of engineering or technical experience, preferably supporting power generation, packaged equipment, or energy infrastructure projects.

  • Working knowledge of generator systems, electrical packaging, or engineered equipment deployment preferred.

  • Ability to read and interpret technical documentation including P&IDs, one lines, schematics, and layout drawings.

  • Familiarity with electrical gear, balance of plant, and deployment or commissioning processes preferred.

  • Strong organizational skills with attention to technical detail and documentation accuracy.

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work across engineering and operations teams.

  • Proficiency with engineering tools (AutoCAD), project documentation systems, and Microsoft Office applications.
