Position:     Science Teacher
                    Jones County High School
Effective Date:    2026 - 2027 School Year
July 29, 2026                                   
Job Description:    PRIMARY FUNCTION: This is a full-time teaching position to begin immediately.  Applicants must be certified with a valid Science 6-12 teaching certificate and meet the Professional Qualifications for the position.
Qualifications:
Credential:     Valid Georgia Credential or license authorizing service in grade levels and areas assigned.
Education:      Bachelor's degree, including all courses to meet credential requirements.
Experience:    Student teaching, internship, or full-time teaching experience.
Terms of Employment: 190-day contract. State salary schedule, plus local supplement
Selection Procedure: Consideration/interviews will begin as soon as a list of qualified applicants is established. Selected candidates will be contacted for interviews.
