JOB DESCRIPTION:
Greet visitors courteously, determining their needs and direct or escort them to the proper person. Receive and route incoming calls, answer questions of callers and take messages for staff members. Assist in preparing reports, type from copy, rough draft or detailed instructions. Open and distribute mail. Operate copy machine, computer equipment and fax machine. Maintain files. Comply with any reasonable oral or written directive of the school principal or other appropriate school staff. Excellent attendance and punctuality required.
REQUIRED EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION OR TRAINING:
Minimum high school diploma, appropriate clerical and business training/experience.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
Word processing and spreadsheet skills. Knowledge of a variety of office equipment and procedures. Practical knowledge of business English, general vocabulary, spelling, and modern office practices. Ability to maintain clerical and confidential records. Sound interpersonal skills to meet and deal with the general public, peers and supervisors in an effective and tactful manner. Willingness to expand knowledge and skills. Other reasonable duties as assigned by Principal or Administrator.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
Two (2) years acceptable clerical experience preferred.
