Qualifications/Certifications:
SCOPE:
Responsible, independent bookkeeping work in maintaining internal accounting records in a senior high
school. Work requires the exercise of considerable independent judgement and use of acquired knowledge
and skills in the performance of broad accounting functions. Works directly with auditors periodically in the
review of financial accounting system.
The Senior High School Bookkeeper is responsible for maintaining school fiscal records including, but not
necessarily limited to, internal accounts, school budget, applicable grant funds, purchasing and procurement,
fundraising, and cash receipts and disbursements.
QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION AND RELEVANT EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
REQUIRED:
• High School diploma or equivalent required, college level coursework in accounting preferred.
• Three (3) years of bookkeeping or responsible accounting clerk or clerical work; or an equivalent
combination of training and experience.
• Pass the Bookkeeper Test with School Accounting with a 70• f higher.
CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES/TRAINING:
REQUIRED:
• Valid Florida driver• s license.
• Knowledge of word processing and data processing and data entry applications as well as general
office technology to specific job functions.
• Fundamental bookkeeping skills.
