Job description

Language needed: Spanish - Immediate need
Location: Wilmington, Delaware or Newark, Delaware area - IN-PERSON
Overview
Back to Basics Learning Dynamics is looking for Spanish interpreters in the Wilmington, Delaware area. As a member of our network of Independently Contracted Interpreters, you will be responsible for facilitating language communication for the local community in a variety of settings, including educational, medical, social services, and more.
Responsibilities
  • Travel to local client sites, within the New Castle County, Delaware area
  • Provide Spanish-English interpreting for school meetings, parent-teacher conferences, medical appointments, and more
  • Provide superior customer service
  • Adhere to Code of Professional Conduct, including maintaining strict standards of confidentiality
  • Adhere to all policies and procedures, including professional interpretation protocols and industry specific best practices

Qualifications/Experience
  • Full fluency in both English and Spanish
  • Daytime availability (between the hours of 9AM - 5PM)
  • Availability to support our interpreting clients 5-15 hours a week
  • Access to reliable transportation
  • 1+ years of professional interpreting experience preferred, but not required
  • Industry specific certifications/trainings preferred (CMI, CCHI, etc.), but not required
  • Candidates must be willing to get a background check including Federal, State, and Child Abuse Registry
  • Must have reliable phone service for contact
  • Must be comfortable with using a computer or smart phone for job input
