Senior Scheduler

Join the NASA CPSS team at Marshall Space Flight Center as a Senior Scheduler supporting the Science and Technology Office (STO). This is your opportunity to contribute to the Artemis missions and shape the future of space exploration.

Position Description: The Senior Scheduler is responsible for developing, managing, and optimizing project schedules in alignment with the NASA Schedule Management Handbook. This role supports projects of varying size and complexity by ensuring schedule accuracy, integrity, and visibility across the program lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain detailed, logic-driven project schedules that comply with NASA Schedule Management Handbook standards.
  • Create proposal schedules, full project life cycle schedules, and closeout schedules to support program planning and execution.
  • Integrate multiple project schedules to enable cross-project resource analysis and inform decision-making.
  • Perform routine schedule health assessments, generate performance metrics, and conduct trend analysis on a weekly to monthly basis.
  • Participate in project meetings and collaborate with technical points of contact to plan tasks and milestones, gather status updates, and present schedule progress.
  • Prepare and deliver schedule status packages, including summary reports, milestone updates, and critical path assessments.
  • Conduct what-if analyses to evaluate schedule workarounds and provide data-driven recommendations.
  • Perform recurring schedule risk assessments, including uncertainty and sensitivity analyses.
  • Integrate contractor and contributor schedules into comprehensive Integrated Master Schedules (IMS).
  • Provide expert scheduling guidance in response to rapidly evolving programmatic requirements.
  • Support optimization of project schedules and resource allocations to improve overall program performance.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

  • Experience performing probabilistic schedule risk analysis and schedule health analysis.
  • Experience using Milestones Professional and schedule risk tools (Full Monte, Acumen Fuse, etc.) desired.
  • Advanced experience with Microsoft Office tools, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.
  • Advanced experience using Microsoft Project.
  • Experience with implementation and management of integrated scheduling tools.
  • Basic understanding of EIA-748 standard earned value management (EVM) principles

Desired qualifications/non-essential skills required:

  • 10-15 years of experience
  • Prior NASA/aerospace experience
  • Experience using software like Acumen Fuse, Milestones Professional, Onepager Professional, and Sharepoint is desired.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or other related certifications

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $89,600.00 - $198,400.00.
