Job description

At Strata-G, we know it takes talented and dedicated people to deliver solutions for a greater cause, and we consider our employees to be our greatest asset. We are a growing, dynamic organization offering diverse challenges to innovative professionals.

We're seeking a highly skilled Project Scheduler to develop and manage integrated schedules supporting the production, fielding, and sustainment of an Army weapon system. This role is critical to ensuring alignment with contractual milestones, government expectations, and mission success. If you're a seasoned Project Scheduler who thrives in complex, multi-partner environments and understands what it takes to keep weapon system programs on track, this is your opportunity to make a real impact.

What You'll Do

Integrated Master Scheduling

  • Develop, maintain, and analyze the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) using Microsoft Project in accordance with DoD requirements
  • Build resource-loaded schedules, assigning labor categories, hours, and costs
  • Integrate subcontractor schedules, milestones, and dependencies into the prime IMS
  • Establish logical relationships, dependencies, and lead/lag structures to create network-driven schedules
  • Perform Critical Path Method (CPM) analysis and generate forward-looking schedule forecasts

Program Execution & Performance Analysis

  • Track schedule performance across production, fielding, and sustainment phases
  • Conduct schedule variance analysis (SV, SPI) and assess impacts to cost, resources, and milestones
  • Develop schedule health metrics, risk assessments, and what-if scenarios
  • Support Earned Value Management (EVM) activities on compliant programs
  • Identify schedule risks and present mitigation strategies to the Program Manager

Cross-Functional & Government Coordination

  • Collaborate with program leadership, engineering, logistics, subcontract management, and test teams
  • Collect task updates, progress metrics, and dependencies from cross-functional teams
  • Serve as the scheduling interface to the Government Program Office, supporting IPTs and formal reviews
  • Prepare schedule data and analysis for major program reviews and decision points

Lifecycle Schedule Support

  • Develop schedules aligned with full weapon system lifecycle activities, including:
    • Full-Rate Production (FRP)
    • Fielding and New Equipment Training (NET)
    • Sustainment, depot maintenance, and configuration management
    • Technology refresh and obsolescence management
  • Ensure schedules meet DoD guidance, customer reporting requirements, and contractual deliverables

What You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Project Management, or related field or equivalent experience
  • 4+ years of DoD project scheduling experience
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Project, including resource loading and critical path analysis
  • Proven experience developing IMSs for complex defense or technical programs
  • Strong understanding of weapon system lifecycle phases
  • Experience integrating and coordinating schedules across multiple subcontractors
  • Background supporting EVM-compliant programs
  • Knowledge of schedule risk assessments (SRA) and risk management processes
  • Experience supporting Army, Navy, Air Force, or Joint Program Office programs
  • Active or ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance (or higher)
