Position: Scheduler
Work Schedule: Tuesday to Saturday
Position Overview:
Rocky Top Catering is seeking a highly organized and experienced Team Members Scheduler to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have experience scheduling for large teams (200+ people) in high-paced environments such as hospitals, airports, or similar industries. This role is crucial to ensuring smooth operations and optimal staffing for our catering events.
Key Responsibilities:
- Scheduling: Develop and manage schedules for over 200 staff members, ensuring adequate coverage for all catering events. Utilize scheduling software to maintain accurate and efficient staffing plans, considering the busy and slow seasons in the catering industry. (NOWSTA)
- Training Support: Spend one week in catering operations and one week at UNC for specialized training. Visit events regularly to ensure new trainees are performing well, offering guidance, and providing feedback as needed.
- Manager Feedback: Meet with managers every Tuesday to gather feedback on scheduling effectiveness and make adjustments to improve workforce management.
- Call-Out Management: Responsible for managing the scheduling phone, handling call-outs, and coordinating with staff to cover shifts as needed. Participate in a rotating schedule for managing the phone.
- Seasonal Planning: Understand and anticipate busy and slow periods, adjusting staffing levels to meet the demand efficiently.
- Event Oversight: Visit events to ensure that schedules are followed correctly and that operations are running smoothly. Communicate with managers to address any on-site scheduling issues promptly.
Qualifications:
