Position: SCCM Engineer

Location: Waltham, MA

Duration:6+ Months

Note: - Client has two different SCCM environments. One environment is setup for imaging new PCs and patching Conference rooms, while the other is setup to patch servers and desktops of internal users. The SCCM contractor would be tasked with helping merge these two systems into one, while maintaining as much uptime as possible. The contractor would focus primarily on patching duties with desktop deployment as a secondary focus, if there happened to be an issue or project on the imaging side. Patching duties would only be internal at first, which is about 1,200 PC's.


Main Responsibilities:
Create, maintain, and deploy Collections
Create, maintain, and deploy Reports
Create, maintain, and deploy Task Sequences
Create, maintain, and deploy Compliance Rules
Create, maintain, and deploy Software Applications
Create, maintain, and deploy Software Updates
Create, maintain, and deploy Operating System Images
The ability to create custom reports using SQL Server Reporting Services will be needed to run reports related to WSUS patching, Computer information and inventory auditing, and future automation.
PC imaging through SCCM is a plus
VDI knowledge is a plus
If internal patching goes good, the contractor would then be involved in patching our advisor systems as well, which is about 8000 PC's.
