Location: Houston TX (77046) - 3 days onsite
Duration: 10-12 months

Job Overview:
Seeking an experienced Senior SCCM Contractor to support and enhance our Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) environment. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of SCCM infrastructure, imaging, software deployment, patch management, operating system deployment (OSD), endpoint security, and administration. This role is responsible for ensuring efficient software distribution, system updates, security compliance, and endpoint management across enterprise environments.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, implement, and maintain SCCM infrastructure to support enterprise-wide IT operations.
  • Manage and optimize SCCM for application deployment, software updates, OS deployment, and imaging.
  • Develop, test, and deploy SCCM task sequences, scripts, and group policies for endpoint management and security.
  • Administer endpoint security policies, including antivirus, threat detection, and compliance enforcement.
  • Implement and maintain endpoint protection strategies to safeguard enterprise IT assets.
  • Troubleshoot SCCM-related issues, including failed deployments, imaging failures, reporting discrepancies, and performance concerns.
  • Ensure security compliance through patch management and vulnerability remediation using SCCM.
  • Monitor SCCM health and performance, generating reports and analytics as needed.
  • Work closely with IT security and operations teams to improve endpoint management strategies.
  • Document processes, configurations, and best practices to support IT teams and end-users.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior SCCM administrators and IT staff.

Required Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience managing SCCM in an enterprise environment.
  • Strong knowledge of SCCM infrastructure, including site servers, distribution points, and management points.
  • Proficiency in creating and maintaining task sequences for OS deployment and imaging (Windows 10/11).
  • Experience with application packaging and deployment via SCCM.
  • Solid understanding of patch management, compliance reporting, and endpoint security administration.
  • Expertise in PowerShell scripting for automation and troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with Intune, Active Directory, Group Policy, Windows Server, and endpoint security tools.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
  • Strong documentation and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Microsoft Certified: Endpoint Administrator Associate or similar certification.
