Job description

Senior Infrastructure & Security Architect

6 - 12+ month Contract • Fully Remote • June 1 Start • EST Hours Required • US Citizens & GC Holders Only

Pay Rate: $55–65/hr W2 | Weekly Pay

Overview

We are placing a Senior Infrastructure & Security Architect on a six to 12 month contract engagement supporting a large East Coast health insurance organization. The contract runs June 1 through year-end with a clear path to June 2027. This is a hands-on architecture role — the right person will own implementation, not just advise on it.

You will work directly with enterprise IT and security leadership to design and execute HTTPS enablement, PKI infrastructure, and SCCM/MECM modernization across a complex, distributed environment. Strong documentation habits and the ability to communicate clearly with both technical teams and senior stakeholders are required.

What You Bring

  • 7+ years of enterprise infrastructure experience focused on endpoint architecture and security
  • Recent, hands-on SCCM/MECM architecture ownership within the last 5–7 years — operational support profiles will not be considered
  • Deep experience with HTTPS enablement in SCCM environments
  • PKI/CA design and implementation: certificate templates, auto-enrollment, certificate lifecycle management
  • Domain migration or enterprise-scale endpoint migration experience
  • Strong technical documentation and knowledge transfer track record
  • Ability to work independently and drive workstreams without heavy oversight
  • Available for a June 1 start or within days of it

US Citizen or Permanent Resident — no sponsorship available

Compensation & Benefits

  • $55–65/hr W2, paid weekly
  • Medical coverage: PPO and HMO options available
  • Dental and vision coverage

Important Details

  • Fully remote; EST working hours required
  • 6-month contract through year-end; conversion to FTE for strong performers
  • Interviews conducted by the consulting firm — no end-client interviews
  • Environment is a large, regulated East Coast health insurance organization

What You'll Do

  • Architect and implement HTTPS enablement across SCCM/MECM infrastructure
  • Design and configure PKI/CA infrastructure: certificate templates, auto-enrollment, and full certificate lifecycle management
  • Lead pilot deployment planning, execution, and stabilization
  • Support backend migration activities and ensure continuity across environments
  • Produce clear technical documentation and knowledge transfer materials for internal teams
  • Communicate architectural decisions, progress, and blockers to both technical and executive audiences
