Job description

Overview:

GovCIO is currently hiring an Automation Engineer with an active Secret clearance to design, deploy, and manage modern endpoint management solutions that automate device provisioning, security configuration, software deployment, and lifecycle operations. This role is based in Arlington, VA, as a hybrid/remote position.

Responsibilities:

Responsibilities: 

  • Manage enterprise endpoint environments using Intune, SCCM, and Autopilot.
  • Automate Windows device provisioning and configuration.
  • Develop application packaging and deployment processes.
  • Implement endpoint security baselines and compliance policies.
  • Automate patch management and vulnerability remediation.
  • Support mobile device management strategies.
  • Troubleshoot endpoint performance and configuration issues.
  • Create scripts and automation workflows to improve operations.
Qualifications:

Qualifications: 

Bachelor's with 12+ years of infrastructure/cloud engineering experience (or commensurate experience)

 

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Minimum of 5–8 years of experience in endpoint engineering
  • Proficient in Microsoft Intune for device management and policy enforcement.
  • Experience with Configuration Manager (SCCM/MECM) for software deployment and endpoint configuration.
  • Skilled in Windows Autopilot for automated device provisioning
  • Familiarity with Azure AD/Entra ID for authentication and identity management.
  • Expertise in PowerShell automation to streamline endpoint operations.
  • Hands-on experience with endpoint security tools to protect devices and data.
  • Ability to migrate and manage Group Policy settings in enterprise environments.
  • Experience in application packaging. 

Preferred Skills and Experience: 

  • Microsoft Endpoint Administrator certification
  • Azure Administrator certification
  • Security+ preferred

Clearance Required: Must have an active Secret clearance and be able to attain DEA suitability.
