Job description

In Person in New York City, NY

About Obligo
Obligo is a fast-growing FinTech / Real Estate Tech startup on a mission to build trust between renters and landlords worldwide. By leveraging open banking, data, and AI, Obligo eliminates traditional security deposits and replaces them with a fair, flexible, and transparent renter experience while streamlining operations and reducing risk for property managers.

At Obligo, we believe that clear communication, thoughtful user experience, and trust-building design are just as important as strong risk models and technical execution. We build financial products that people can understand, trust, and feel confident using.

The Role
Obligo is looking for a Vice President of Marketing to lead our marketing strategy and execution as we scale the business and expand our market presence. This is a strategic and hands-on leadership role responsible for driving growth, shaping our brand, and ensuring that Obligo's story is told clearly, credibly, and consistently across all audiences.

You will own Obligo's end-to-end marketing function, including brand and positioning, demand generation, product marketing, and lifecycle engagement. You will work closely with Sales, Product, Risk, and the executive team to drive measurable business impact.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Marketing Strategy & Leadership
Define and lead Obligo's marketing vision and strategy in alignment with company goals
  • Build, manage, and mentor a high-performing marketing team
Establish clear KPIs and ensure marketing initiatives drive pipeline growth, adoption, and revenue.
  • Serve as a core member of the leadership team, contributing to company-wide strategy

Growth & Demand Generation

  • Own pipeline generation across channels including paid, organic, content, partnerships, events, and ABM.
  • Partner closely with Sales on ICP definition, go-to-market strategy, and funnel optimization
  • Use data, experimentation, and attribution to improve CAC, conversion rates, and ROI.
  • Scale marketing programs across SMB, mid-market, and enterprise segments.

Brand, Product & Storytelling

  • Own Obligo's brand identity, positioning, and messaging across all touchpoints
  • Lead product marketing efforts including launches, narratives, competitive positioning, and sales enablement.
  • Translate complex fintech concepts into clear, compelling, and trustworthy value propositions

Lifecycle, Trust & User Experience

  • Oversee renter- and customer-facing marketing communications.
  • Build lifecycle programs that drive adoption, engagement, retention, and trust
  • Partner closely with Product and UX to ensure a cohesive and consistent customer experience

Partnerships, PR & External Presence

  • Lead PR, communications, industry events, and thought leadership initiatives
  • Support strategic partnerships through co-marketing and joint go-to-market efforts

What We're Looking For:

Experience

  • 10+ years of marketing experience, including senior leadership roles
  • Proven success scaling marketing at a B2B or B2B2C SaaS or fintech company
  • Strong background in demand generation and revenue-driven marketing
  • Experience partnering closely with Sales, Product, and executive leadership

Skills & Attributes

  • Strategic thinker with a hands-on execution mindset
  • Exceptional communication and storytelling skills
  • Data-driven and comfortable operating in trust-based or regulated environments

Nice to Have

  • Experience in fintech, proptech, real estate, or financial services
  • Enterprise go-to-market or platform marketing experience

Benefits and Perks

  • Competitive base salary and bonus structure
  • Stock options
  • Multiple health, dental, and vision plans starting day one
  • Remote office expense reimbursement
  • Generous PTO and holiday schedule
  • Commuter benefits
  • Life insurance
  • Quarterly team kickoffs and regular team outings
  • Amazing offices in NYC and Tel Aviv
  • A chance to work with incredibly bright, creative, talented, and passionate teammates

Compensation Range: $200K - $220K
