Job Purpose
Seek out new opportunities within territories on top of developing and maintaining strong current customer relationships.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Develop existing accounts and seek new business via cold calling or other strategic selling solutions
- Analyze opportunities, identify key personnel, and develop strong business relationships. Consult and problem solve to enhance the Company's position in existing and target accounts.
- Manage scaffolding projects from start to finish.
- Analyze the customer's needs, determine the appropriate equipment to meet those needs, then estimate the appropriate amount of equipment and the labor required to erect and dismantle the scaffold.
Minimum Qualifications
- Associates Degree or prior sales experience;
- Prior outside sales experience and/or customer service experience;
- Strong project management, new business development, and customer retention skills a must;
- Ability to read architectural plans;
- Proficiency in use of computer programs including Word, Excel, Outlook;
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills;
- A valid in-state driver's license with a good driving record;
- Authorization to work in the US with the ability to obtain clearance onto Federal job sites.
- Preferential consideration will be given to candidates with:
- Construction-related experience;
- Previous experience in scaffold erection or sales;
- Completion of the OSHA 30 course for construction.
Physical Requirements
- Must be capable of climbing scaffolding, ladders, etc. to take measurements of typical job site conditions.
- Occasional lifting and carrying of equipment up to 50 lbs and standing for long periods of time in all types of field conditions.
- The position requires staying calm under pressure when communicating with clients and co-workers. Avoid intimidating tone or abusive or inappropriate language.
