Job description

SECO Belgium is looking for a Building Condition Assessment Engineer (NEN 2767).

As a Building Condition Assessment Engineer, you will be responsible for inspecting and assessing the technical condition of buildings and installations in accordance with the NEN 2767 methodology. You will analyse any defects identified and translate these into clear reports and maintenance recommendations. In this way, you will support clients in the sustainable management of their property portfolio.

Your role
  • Carrying out condition surveys in accordance with the NEN 2767 standard
  • Inspecting structural and/or technical installations
  • Identifying and recording defects and wear and tear
  • Drawing up clear inspection reports and long-term maintenance plans (MJOP)
  • Advising clients on maintenance, renovation and investment decisions
  • Working with digital inspection tools and software
  • Collaborating with project leaders, asset managers and other stakeholders
Your profile
  • Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Electromechanics, Industrial Sciences or equivalent through experience
  • Knowledge of or experience with NEN 2767
  • Experience with building inspections or technical management
  • Analytical mindset and an eye for detail
  • Strong communication and reporting skills
  • Ability to work independently and have a sense of responsibility
  • Knowledge of relevant software (e.g. O-prognose)
  • You speak fluent Dutch and have a good knowledge of French and English
  • You are willing to travel within Belgium and occasionally within Europe
  • You hold a Category B driving licence
