Northrop Grumman seeks IBCS [Integrated Battle Command System] Air Defense Maintainer / Instructors for our IBCS program.
IBCS connects sensors and effectors to work together into one command and control system. IBCS gives the warfighters expanded battlespace views, aiding quickly and decisive decisions. IBCS integrate across all domains, delivering advanced warfighter capabilities.
Successful applicant will be trained to serve as a subject matter expert on IBCS, conducts formal training to military or defense clients and supports the development and evaluation of military training and doctrine. Provides technical advice and guidance on installation, adaptation, configuration or enhancement of program technical products, software (SW) and hardware (HW) systems. Provides expertise for resolving technical problems and troubleshoots product. Provide instruction in a classroom environment to the end user as well as field services in support of troubleshooting IBCS SW and HW. Primary Work location will be Huntsville, AL. with ability to travel OCONUS.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Conducts on-site training - Supports training material developers and writers with review and validation of training materials.
  • Participates in doctrinal development, embedded training scenario development, practical exercise development, test question development and after-action review and analysis.
  • Assist with training event metrics such as student enrollment, student demographics, student attendance, student pass/fail percentages, suggested improvements to the course materials and training aids, etc.
  • Assist in planning and executing all phases of military training exercises.
  • Provides feedback to program leadership regarding system performance and end-user comments.
  • Assists in troubleshooting IBCS HW and SW
  • Perform operator tasks on equipment, integrated systems, subsystems, and software.
  • Troubleshoots, diagnoses, and repairs mechanical and electrical systems at Operator level
  • Performs preventive maintenance checks and services on government furnished equipment in accordance with approved technical manual procedures

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree with 2 years' experience or a High School diploma / Equivalent with 6 years' experience may be accepted in Lieu of degree; experience in Software, Hardware, IT, Networking
  • Secret Security Clearance and Passport with 2 yrs remaining = Checking passport with 2 years required.
  • Security + certification or ability to obtain prior to start date
  • Must be located in or willing to relocate to Huntsville, Alabama and travel approx. 75% OCONUS
  • Ability to obtain IBCS associate instructor certification within the first 6 months of hire date
  • Complete Northrop Grumman IBCS entry training requirements with all written and practical exercise test results meeting a minimum individual score of 80%.
  • Meet and maintain administrative, legal, and medical Department of Defense contractor deployment requirements for employment in any environment the US Military is or could in DODI 3020.41 Operational Contract Support

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with Air Defense C-RAM, C-UAS or IBCS architectures or other similar systems
  • Army Air Defense MOS 14 series or other similar Military experience
  • ADAM Cell, AMDPCS FAAD Shelter and/or Battery Command Post experience
  • Signal/IT
  • Deployment experience in a field technical support role
  • Experience operating and deploying IBCS equipment
  • Army ADA School or Fires Center of Excellence serving in a training related role
  • Military Instructor Qualified (Branch Qualified)
  • Experience working with embedded training systems
  • System administration experience with the following: Red Hat Enterprise Linux and experience operating within a Continuous Deliver/Continuous Integration culture
  • Experience leading technical briefings with the customer and end user, and provide appropriate suggestions for employment of the weapon system
  • Experience integrating COTS, GOTS and custom software in a security constrained environment
  • Knowledge of military operations, procedures, and training activities
  • Knowledge of other Army ADA systems and operations such as PATRIOT, THAAD, SENTINEL
  • Joint Tactical Information Distribution System-JT101 course or Multi-TDL Advanced Joint Interoperability Course (Majic) graduate

Primary Level Salary Range: $65,800.00 - $98,800.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
