SAP Solution Architect

Seattle WA based client (e-commerce company) - remote – anywhere in US or Canada. Can work in EST or PST time - prefer PST time zone. 10 months. Experience – looking for 10+ yrs experience resources.

Client is a leading e-commerce company known for its innovative logistics and customer-centric approach. We leverage advanced technology and data-driven solutions to deliver exceptional shopping experiences. As we scale, we seek an SAP Solution Architect to design and optimize SAP systems that support our complex supply chain, fulfillment, and financial operations.

Role Overview

The SAP Solution Architect will be responsible for designing and implementing SAP solutions that enable seamless integration across Coupang’s e-commerce platform, logistics network, and financial systems. This role requires deep expertise in SAP architecture and a strong understanding of high-volume retail and fulfillment processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Solution Design & Architecture
    • Define SAP architecture strategies aligned with Coupang’s e-commerce and logistics operations.
    • Design scalable SAP solutions for order management, inventory, procurement, and finance.
  • Integration
    • Ensure smooth integration between SAP modules and Coupang’s microservices-based platform.
    • Collaborate with AWS cloud teams to optimize SAP performance in a cloud environment.
  • Implementation & Governance
    • Lead SAP S/4HANA implementation and migration projects.
    • Establish governance frameworks and enforce SAP best practices.
  • Collaboration
    • Partner with business units (fulfillment, finance, supply chain) to translate requirements into SAP solutions.
    • Work closely with engineering teams to ensure compatibility with Coupang’s tech stack.
  • Optimization
    • Identify opportunities for automation and process improvement within SAP workflows.
    • Monitor system performance and implement enhancements for scalability.
Required Qualifications
    • 10+ years in SAP architecture and implementation roles.
    • Expertise in SAP S/4HANA and modules relevant to e-commerce (MM, SD, FI/CO, EWM).
    • Strong knowledge of SAP integration with cloud platforms (AWS preferred).
    • Understanding of high-volume order processing and fulfillment systems.
    • SAP Certified Solution Architect.
    • TOGAF or ITIL preferred.
Preferred Experience
  • Large-scale SAP deployments in e-commerce or retail environments.
  • Familiarity with logistics, last-mile delivery, and warehouse management systems.
  • Experience with API-based integration and microservices architecture.
