What You Will Do
Join us in the Project Nexus Program Management Office! We are seeking an energetic post baccalaureate student to support the Project Nexus Program Management Office.
The Program Office for LANL's Project Nexus serves as the central hub for overseeing the successful implementation of the enterprise resource planning (ERP) transformation. The Program Office is responsible for coordinating all project activities, including planning, execution, and monitoring, ensuring alignment with business objectives. It also manages risk, budget, and timeline adherence. Working closely with stakeholders across the Laboratory, the Program Office provides governance, integration, and oversight to ensure successful delivery of modernized business processes and systems that support the Laboratory's mission. This position, in addition to the Program Office, will reside within ALDBUS-ERP and report to the Project Nexus PMO Program Director.
What You Need
Minimum Job Requirements :

This position is available to applicants who have earned a bachelor's degree within the past two years and who have not yet been accepted or enrolled in a graduate program. Post-bachelor interns may remain in this category for up to two years.
Education/Experience:
  • To be fully considered, candidates must have completed a Bachelor of Arts or Science degree in a business-related field.
  • Must have graduated with a cumulative GPA of 2.75 or above on a 4.0 scale (or equivalent).

Desired Qualifications:
  • Experience in delivering exceptional customer service
  • Knowledge of, or coursework in project management principles and methodologies
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Project)
  • Ability to create and maintain project documentation, including status reports, meeting minutes, and process documentation
  • Experience coordinating meetings, managing calendars, or facilitating team collaboration
  • Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Workday, etc.) preferred

Work Environment:
Work Location : This position will be in Santa Fe, NM with the potential for occasional teleworking from a location within 2 hours ground commute of this location. Reporting onsite will be periodically required. Telework is at the discretion of management and can change at any time with appropriate notice.

Additional Details
Directive 206.2 - Employment with Triad requires a favorable decision by NNSA indicating employee is suitable under NNSA Supplemental Directive 206.2. Please note that this requirement applies only to citizens of the United States. Foreign nationals are subject to a similar requirement under DOE Order 142.3A.
Clearance: Q (Position will be cleared to this level). Selected applicants will be subject to a background investigation conducted by or on behalf of the Federal Government, and must meet eligibility requirements* for access to classified matter. This position requires a Q clearance, and obtaining such clearance requires US Citizenship except in extremely rare circumstances. Dependent upon the position, additional authorization to access classified information may be required, which may or may not be available to dual citizens. Receipt of a Q clearance and additional access authorization ultimately is a decision of the Federal Government and not of Triad.
*Eligibility requirements: To obtain a clearance, an individual must be at least 18 years of age; U.S. citizenship is required except in very limited circumstances. See DOE Order 472.2 for additional information.
No Clearance: Position does not require a security clearance. Selected candidates will be subject to drug testing and other pre-employment background checks.
New-Employment Drug Test: The Laboratory requires successful applicants to complete a new-employment drug test and maintains a substance abuse policy that includes random drug testing. Although New Mexico and other states have legalized the use of marijuana, use and possession of marijuana remain illegal under federal law. A positive drug test for marijuana will result in termination of employment, even if the use was pre-offer.
Internal Applicants: Regular appointment employees who have served the required period of continuous service in their current position are eligible to apply for posted jobs throughout the Laboratory.
