About the Role

Hop Lun is a global manufacturing leader specializing in Intimate Apparel, Swimwear, and Activewear, partnering with top retailers and brands such as Target, Walmart, SKIMS, Aerie, VS/PINK, and Alo Yoga.

We are seeking an experienced Senior Technical Designer with strong Activewear expertise to join our dynamic Product Development hub in Los Angeles with Design, Showroom, and Sample Room to support both new and existing accounts.

What You’ll Do
  • Manage all Technical Design functions from adoption through fitting and production
  • Learn and apply multiple brand standards for fit and construction
  • Attend fit meetings and partner with retail brands to achieve approved fits
  • Identify fit and construction challenges and propose solutions for complex styles
  • Identify costsaving opportunities while maintaining fit, quality, and design integrity
  • Proactively communicate potential production risks and solutions to leadership and crossfunctional teams
  • Build and manage fit sample tracking by customer and season; manage WIP and report to Production
  • Ensure grading standards are met by brand, account, and category; oversee inhouse brand grading
  • Manage fit process, including sketching pattern corrections and documenting style comments
  • Collaborate with internal and external Design and Product Development teams throughout the product lifecycle
  • Maintain open communication with Chinabased technical teams
  • Create and implement Technical Design SOPs and best practices
  • Ensure timely communication with vendors and brands and adherence to development calendars
  • What We’re Looking For
  • 810+ years of Technical Design experience; minimum 5 years in Activewear
  • Additional experience in Swimwear preferred
  • Mandarin or Cantonese proficiency a plus
  • Proficiency in MS Office and Adobe Suite (Illustrator & Photoshop)
  • Experience with Gerber, Browzwear, and/or CLO a plus

    Highly organized with strong attention to detail

    Strong problem-solving skills and ability to identify risks

    Excellent communication skills with factory and brand partners

    Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities

    Expert eye for fit, garment construction, finishing, and aesthetics

    Work Location

    This role is on-site in Los Angeles, CA. Remote or hybrid work is not available.
