Salesforce Platform Technology Manager

No Sponsorship will be provided for this role.

Location: Onsite in Memphis, TN; Maryville, TN; Birmingham, AL; Lafayette, LA; New Orleans, LA; Charlotte, NC; Raleigh, NC; or Dallas, TX

Weekly Schedule: Monday- Friday, 9am-5pm

The Salesforce Technology Platform Manager must be innovative, energetic, and driven to build new applications or retool legacy applications into world class solutions, continuing the FH360 journey for sales and service enablement. Customer Service is always Priority 1. Systems availability, accuracy of information, and speed of delivery are the focal point of customer service. The Technology Manager will be responsible for the Client Services Platform and Customer Relationship Management technology solutions and line of business partnerships. The Technology Manager will lead an enthusiastic team focused on realizing the business objectives as outlined in our tactical and strategic plans. Manager and team will lead a nimble, agile and swift implementation process. Manager will be responsible for building and maintaining a Salesforce Center of Excellence for First Horizon.

Required Qualifications:

  • Ten or more years of banking technology experience with a focus on servicing customers.
  • Advanced application development expertise, including AI-enabled development practices.
  • Advanced knowledge of the Salesforce platform with expertise in at least one of the knowledge domains.
  • Advanced knowledge of relational databases (SQL Server, Oracle, or any popular database engine).
  • Experience with Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), Technology Security, and DevSecOps.
  • Experience with strict segregation of technology duties.
  • Technical team leadership experience delivering solutions with five or more years overseeing successful 7x24 production support.
  • Prior experience working in a pressured (dynamic, fast-paced) environment.
  • Application lifecycle experience, including proactive end-of-life lookahead management.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or other discipline.
  • Prior experience as a technical lead for 3+ years.

  • Client-service orientation. Skilled in establishing and maintaining a high level of client trust and confidence in the group's knowledge of and concern for clients' needs.

Preferred Qualifications and Skills:

  • Technology-focused degree.
  • Salesforce certification(s).
  • Expertise in enterprise planning like technology recovery, BCP, strategic planning, etc.
  • Experience in general management duties including experience exercising usual authority concerning staff, performance appraisals, promotions, and discipline (up to and including terminations).
  • Experience in recruiting, interviewing, hiring, developing and retaining highly qualified technical staff.
  • Expertise in reviewing and evaluating work of subordinate staff and preparing performance reports.

Responsibilities:

  • Provides technical direction and guidance to teams of application development personnel.
  • Assists in recruiting, developing and retaining highly qualified staff.
  • Confers with and advises subordinates on administrative policies and procedures, priorities and methods.
  • Prepare and manage cost center forecasting and monthly actual to budget remediation.
  • Establishes team goals and objectives in accordance with company policies and goals to ensure optimum efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Assists in building high performing teams – coaching team members, motivating members, providing feedback and developing training plans.
  • Assigns personnel to various projects and direct activities.
  • Reviews and evaluates work of subordinate staff and prepares performance reports.
  • Prepares activity and progress reports.
  • Builds relationships with LOB Managers – influences and negotiates deliverables.
  • Balances LOB demand against internal capacity to meet delivery commitments and LOB expectations.
  • Works with lead developers to develop best-practice methods and standards for custom and vendor applications.
  • Works with the Senior Manager and Director for effective and optimum use of resources within the group.
  • Provides accurate and timely forecasts and information for reporting; monitors project financials routinely; takes corrective action to meet financial objectives.
  • Assists in developing and monitoring key success metrics and quality standards.
  • Assists in projecting software and hardware requirements.
