Job description

We Are:

Accenture’s Salesforce Business Group — one of the largest and most experienced Salesforce practices in the world. We’ve been building on this platform since the beginning, which means we’ve seen what works, what doesn’t, and how to deliver at scale. We’re Master Certified across all 12 industries and clouds, and our team holds over 4,200 certifications including Certified Technical Architect (CTA). In Life Sciences specifically, we bring deep domain knowledge alongside our Salesforce expertise — helping clients modernize commercial operations, improve patient engagement, and build the platforms that power their next phase of growth. We invest in our people through ongoing training, specialization paths, and a culture of continuous learning.

You Are:

A Salesforce Life Sciences Functional Architect at the Associate Manager level within Accenture’s Salesforce Business Group. You sit at an exciting inflection point — you’ve got enough platform depth to contribute meaningfully to architecture conversations, and enough functional curiosity to understand why the business cares about what gets built. You don’t need to have all the answers yet, but you ask the right questions, you learn fast, and you bring both a technical and functional lens to the table. You’re ready to grow into full SA ownership and you’re looking for the right program to do it on.

The Work:

  • Support end-to-end solution design for Salesforce Life Sciences implementations, contributing to architecture decisions across functional configuration, data model, and integration under the guidance of a senior Solution Architect or Technical Architect.

  • Help translate business requirements into Salesforce solution options, participating in design sessions and requirement workshops with client stakeholders and internal delivery teams.

  • Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical team members, helping bridge the gap between what the business needs and what the platform can deliver — and be prepared to wear a functional hat when requirements need shaping or a technical hat when design decisions need grounding.

  • Contribute to and maintain solution documentation including solution design documents (SDDs), data flow diagrams, and configuration workbooks; ensure documentation stays current as design evolves.

  • Identify and flag design gaps, cross-workstream dependencies, and potential risks; escalate appropriately and contribute to resolution discussions.

  • Review configuration and development work to support adherence to Salesforce best practices and client-specific standards, with guidance from senior team members.

  • Support estimation and scoping activities during pursuit and early delivery phases, contributing to technical and functional sections of proposals.

  • Actively pursue Salesforce certifications relevant to the SA career path and contribute to practice development through documentation of lessons learned and reusable assets.

Here’s What You Need:

  • Minimum of 3 years of Salesforce delivery experience, with exposure to both functional and technical dimensions of implementation work

  • Experience contributing to at least 1 full-lifecycle Salesforce implementation in a functional, technical, or hybrid role

  • Experience working on projects using Agile, hybrid, or Scrum delivery frameworks, with comfort operating in sprint-based delivery environments

  • Experience working with AI/ML tools or platforms (e.g., Salesforce Einstein, Agentforce, or generative AI tools) and an emerging understanding of how AI capabilities can be applied within Salesforce solutions

  • Experience supporting Life Sciences clients and/or the Life Sciences industry

  • A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent (minimum 12 years) work experience. (If Associate’s Degree, must have minimum 6 years’ work experience)

Bonus Points If:

  • Familiarity with Salesforce Life Sciences Cloud (LSC) or Health Cloud — either through direct project exposure, self-study, or certification pursuit

  • Salesforce certifications relevant to the SA path: Sales Cloud Consultant, Service Cloud Consultant, Platform App Builder, or Health Cloud Accreditation

  • Exposure to integration concepts and tools (e.g., REST/SOAP APIs, MuleSoft, Salesforce Connect) sufficient to participate in integration design discussions

  • Experience working across both functional configuration and technical development on the same engagement — comfort moving between both lanes

  • Familiarity with Life Sciences commercial processes (e.g., HCP engagement, field force, patient services) and how they map to Salesforce platform capabilities

  • Previous experience in a consulting or professional services environment, even at a junior level

  • Multi-shore delivery experience or comfort working across distributed teams and time zones

  • An active interest in growing toward the Solution Architect career path, evidenced by certification progress, internal contributions, or self-directed learning
