Job description

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a Salesforce Business Analyst to join a client-facing delivery team in a hands-on role bridging business stakeholders and technical delivery. This is a fully remote engagement open to candidates based in the US or Canada.

The right candidate brings strong requirements gathering skills, solid Salesforce platform knowledge, and the ability to translate business needs into clear, workable solutions within enterprise project teams.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Requirements & Discovery

  • Lead requirements gathering sessions, workshops, and stakeholder interviews to understand business needs
  • Document functional requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and process flows
  • Analyze existing business processes and identify opportunities for improvement through Salesforce
  • Maintain a clear backlog of requirements and keep stakeholders aligned on priorities

Solution Design & Delivery

  • Partner with architects and developers to translate requirements into Salesforce solutions
  • Configure Salesforce where appropriate, including flows, validation rules, page layouts, reports, and dashboards
  • Support solution design decisions with clear rationale grounded in business and platform considerations
  • Participate in design reviews and help maintain delivery standards across the team

Stakeholder & Delivery Support

  • Act as the main point of contact between business stakeholders and the delivery team
  • Support UAT planning, test case creation, and defect triage
  • Contribute to training materials, user guides, and rollout activities
  • Document decisions, processes, and solution designs so knowledge stays with the team

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Must-Have

  • 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst with a strong focus on Salesforce
  • Hands-on experience with Salesforce Sales Cloud and Service Cloud
  • Strong requirements gathering, process mapping, and documentation skills
  • Comfortable with Salesforce declarative configuration (flows, validation rules, reports, dashboards, page layouts)
  • Must be based in the US or Canada
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Functional Depth

  • Requirements gathering techniques, user story writing, and acceptance criteria definition
  • Process mapping using BPMN, flowcharts, or similar notation
  • Sales Cloud and/or Service Cloud functional knowledge (lead/opportunity/case lifecycle, automation, reporting)
  • Familiarity with Salesforce data model, security model, and sharing
  • Experience supporting UAT cycles and managing defect resolution

NICE TO HAVE

  • Salesforce Administrator certification
  • Salesforce Business Analyst certification
  • Experience working within consulting or client-facing delivery environments
  • Exposure to Agile delivery and tools like Jira or Azure DevOps
  • Experience on projects involving integrations, data migration, or Marketing Cloud / CPQ

WHAT SETS YOU APART

  • A track record of running effective discovery and leaving projects with clear, usable documentation
  • Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a collaborative team environment
  • Clear communication skills and comfort working directly with business and technical stakeholders
  • A delivery-oriented mindset with attention to quality and detail
