Job description

The Inside Sales – Project Estimator will be working with our Commercial/Industrial sales team to:
·         Review online bid document repositories to find projects with equipment BBC Pump can bid
·         Review bid requests sent by contractors
·         Review bid documents and specifications to make sure that our manufacturers will be accepted
·         Work with BBC Pump salespeople (internal) and project engineers (external) to gain acceptance where we do not already have it
·         Track bid projects throughout the project lifecycle (Planning > Bidding > Post-Bid)
·         Organize and track upcoming bid schedule
·         Size and select pumps, boilers and associated equipment for bid projects
·         Create bid quotes for projects we are bidding
·         Deliver accurate quotes to contractors on time
·         Create and deliver accurate submittal documents
·         Assist in answering incoming sales phone calls and emails
 
PRIMARY FOCUS
·         Bid project takeoff and quotation
·         Design/build project quotation and support
·         After-sale project/order management for quoted projects
·         Submittal document generation
·         Order entry
·         Coordination between customer, manufacturers to ensure on-time and accurate delivery
·         Internal coordination of resources
 
SECONDARY FOCUS
·         Incoming sales calls and emails and related quotations, order processing and follow-up
·         Helping inside sales team with customer walk-ins and will call as necessary
·         Warehouse support
 
REQUIREMENTS
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills for accurate estimation.
  • Mechanical aptitude and/or experience with mechanical equipment and systems.
  • Experience in construction estimating or a related field is desired.
  • Familiarity with software packages Office 365, Salesforce, Prophet 21 and online project takeoff tools is desired.
