Work Arrangement: Primarily based at a contractor site within 30 driving miles of downtown Washington, D.C., with onsite support at Department of State facilities as required

Blue Rose Consulting Group is seeking a skilled Salesforce Administrator to support the administration, configuration, maintenance, and day-to-day operation of a Salesforce environment supporting a federal customer.

The Salesforce Administrator will manage user access, configure workflows and Salesforce Flows, develop reports and dashboards, provide daily end-user support, and perform routine system maintenance. This role will work closely with technical teams and business stakeholders to maintain a reliable, secure, and user-friendly Salesforce environment while supporting evolving operational requirements.

This position requires U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.

What you’ll do
  • Administer and maintain the Salesforce platform to support daily business and mission operations.
  • Create, modify, deactivate, and maintain Salesforce user accounts, profiles, roles, permission sets, and access controls.
  • Configure and maintain Salesforce Flow, workflows, validation rules, approval processes, and other platform automation.
  • Create and maintain custom reports, dashboards, list views, and other tools that provide stakeholders with actionable information.
  • Provide daily technical and functional support to Salesforce end users.
  • Troubleshoot user access, configuration, data, reporting, workflow, and platform-related issues.
  • Perform routine Salesforce system maintenance and administrative activities.
  • Monitor platform functionality and identify issues that could affect system availability, performance, or the user experience.
  • Maintain Salesforce objects, fields, page layouts, record types, and related configuration components.
  • Support data quality through routine monitoring, validation, cleanup, and administrative controls.
  • Assist with testing and implementation of Salesforce configuration changes, enhancements, and releases.
  • Work with business stakeholders to understand operational requirements and translate those needs into appropriate Salesforce configurations.
  • Coordinate with Salesforce developers, technical leads, system administrators, and other IT personnel to resolve issues and implement enhancements.
  • Maintain documentation related to Salesforce configurations, processes, user access, system changes, and administrative procedures.
  • Apply appropriate security and access-control practices within the Salesforce environment.
  • Support platform governance, configuration management, and established technical standards.
  • Assist with user training, guidance, and adoption of Salesforce capabilities and new functionality.

QualificationsMinimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Business Information Systems, or a related discipline.
  • Active Secret security clearance.
  • Professional experience administering, configuring, or supporting Salesforce in a production environment.
  • Hands-on experience managing Salesforce users, profiles, roles, permission sets, and access controls.
  • Experience configuring Salesforce Flow, workflows, validation rules, and other declarative automation capabilities.
  • Experience creating and maintaining Salesforce reports and dashboards.
  • Experience providing technical support and troubleshooting assistance to Salesforce end users.
  • Knowledge of Salesforce objects, fields, page layouts, record types, security controls, and data management.
  • Experience performing routine system administration and maintenance activities.
  • Ability to analyze user requirements and translate business needs into Salesforce configurations.
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, documentation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with business users, technical teams, and project leadership.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
  • U.S. citizenship required.

  • Salesforce Certified Administrator certification.
  • Additional Salesforce certifications such as Advanced Administrator or Platform App Builder.
  • Experience administering Salesforce within a federal government or other regulated environment.

  • Advanced experience building and troubleshooting Salesforce Flows and other declarative automation.
  • Experience with Salesforce data import, export, cleanup, validation, and data-quality activities.

  • Understanding of Salesforce security, governance, and configuration management best practices.
  • Experience supporting integrations between Salesforce and external systems or enterprise applications.
