A Salesforce administrator’s duties are to coordinate and oversee various aspects of a company’s workflow, business operations, and productivity using Salesforce software. They work with end users, helping them resolve technical issues and developing new ways to manage and store data in a cloud environment. If a Salesforce administrator works more closely with end users, their responsibilities often involve utilizing the Salesforce customer relationship management (CRM) tools to facilitate business relationships. Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills help you manage user needs and translate business requirements into effective system solutions. These competencies ensure efficient platform management, support business operations, and drive user adoption of Salesforce solutions.

What are some common challenges Salesforce Administrators face when managing user requests and system updates?

Salesforce Administrators often juggle multiple user requests while ensuring the platform remains efficient and secure. Job description

MaintainX is the world's leading AI-powered maintenance and asset management platform, serving 14,000+ customers including Duracell, Shell, Cintas, and Brenntag. We raised $150M in Series D funding led by Bessemer Venture Partners and Bain Capital Ventures, bringing our total funding to $254M. We were named to the Forbes 2025 Cloud 100, the definitive ranking of the top 100 private cloud companies in the world. We're growing fast and hiring the talent to match.
In July 2025 we closed a $150M Series D led by Bessemer Venture Partners and Bain Capital Ventures, bringing total funding to $254M at a $2.5B valuation. We were named to the 2025 Forbes Cloud 100 and ranked #1 in EAM and CMMS on G2's Summer 2025 report.
The market is moving: 68% of industrial companies have the same or more downtime than in 2024, and 3.8M manufacturing jobs will go unfilled through 2033. We're building the platform that changes that.
The role
MaintainX is scaling - Series D momentum, enterprise expansion, and a GTM org growing across North America. Salesforce is the system of record behind how we sell, retain, and grow. This role owns it.
You'll administer a Salesforce instance that spans sales, marketing, customer success, and finance. Day-to-day: keeping the platform clean and scalable, building automations that eliminate manual work, configuring the CPQ and commissions workflows that power how we quote and pay. You'll report into RevOps and partner with GTM leads to translate business needs into platform solutions.
  • Customize and scale Salesforce to support our sales, marketing, and CS processes - custom objects, fields, layouts, validation rules, and automations.
  • Build and maintain flows, process builders, and integrations that reduce manual work and keep data accurate as the org grows.
  • Own CPQ and commissions configuration - the workflows that power how MaintainX prices, quotes, and compensates.
  • Deliver the reports and dashboards that give leadership clear visibility into pipeline health, productivity, and forecast accuracy.
  • Drive data hygiene at scale: validation rules, cleansing routines, and deduplication that keep the instance trustworthy.
What we're looking for
Must-haves:
  • Expert-level Salesforce Administrator experience (typically 5-10+ years), with proven ownership of enterprise-scale orgs and advanced platform configurations
  • Salesforce Administrator Certification & Advanced Admin Certification.
  • Proficiency in Salesforce Lightning Experience, workflows, process builder, and data management.
  • Fluency with Salesforce automation tools and integration capabilities.
  • Experience with agile sprint methodology and Jira or equivalent tooling.
  • Proven ability to work cross-functionally and manage multiple priorities without dropping quality.

This role is responsible for managing and supporting a customer portfolio based primarily in English-speaking markets (English Canada), requiring daily verbal and written communication in English with those customers.
Nice-to-haves:
  • Experience with Salesforce Revenue Cloud Advanced (RCA).
  • Advanced reporting and dashboard work within Salesforce.

What we offer
  • Competitive base + variable comp aligned to role and location.
  • Meaningful equity in a post-Series D, $2.5B company.
  • Day-1 health, dental, and vision coverage.
  • Unlimited PTO - not a gimmick; we take it.
  • $500 home office stipend $1K annual L&D budget.
  • Raleigh hub with flexible hybrid setup.
How we work
We deliver one platform for maintenance, repair & operations teams to keep the physical world running. You'll work alongside smart, humble, optimistic colleagues across the globe. We're output-driven, promote quickly when people deliver, and have honest conversations early. If that's the environment you want, we'd love to hear from you.
MaintainX is committed to creating a diverse environment. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, colour, religion, gender, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, national origin, genetics, disability, age, or veteran status.
