Business Systems Analyst Role Overview
Design, configure, maintain, and implement Salesforce-related projects supporting the roadmap as determined by the Product Owner. Work closely with cross-functional team members to ensure solutions are implemented using an Agile mindset and support consistent incremental delivery of a Minimum Viable Product. Provide operational support to troubleshoot, identify root causes, and resolve product issues specific to Salesforce.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
β€’ Serve as the primary administrator for Salesforce, managing configuration, security, and system maintenance.
β€’ Configure and maintain custom objects, fields, validation rules, workflows, flows, page layouts, permission sets, and other declarative features.
β€’ Work to understand the business processes supported by technology systems.
β€’ Collaborate with Product Owner, Product Manager, and other SMEs to identify, create, and maintain documentation for system processes, workflows, and training materials.
β€’ Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, analytics tools, and data visualizations.
β€’ Manage user onboarding/offboarding, profiles, permissions, and data access controls.
β€’ Assist with integrations between Salesforce and other business systems using APIs, middleware, or native connectors.
β€’ Work with external vendors and product support analysts to troubleshoot system issues and provide resolution.
β€’ Manage Salesforce releases, testing, and deployment of new features.
Strongly Preferred Qualifications
β€’ Bachelor's degree in business/IT/Computer Science or related field OR a combination of education plus equivalent level of work experience.
β€’ 2-4+ years of experience as a Salesforce Administrator or in a similar CRM-focused role.
β€’ Salesforce Administrator Certification (Salesforce Certified Administrator).
β€’ Strong understanding of Consumer Goods Cloud.
β€’ Strong understanding of Salesforce Sales Cloud; experience with Service Cloud or Experience Cloud is a plus.
β€’ Strong understanding of B2B Commerce.
β€’ 2+ years' experience in supporting business applications.
β€’ 2+ years of business systems analyst experience in an Agile/Scrum software development environment preferred.
β€’ Experience working with business functions to understand and map processes to functional and technical specifications.
β€’ Ability to understand and represent the needs of the end user in a software development environment.
β€’ Understanding of inbound/outbound interfaces is preferred.
β€’ Knowledge of SQL databases and ability to write/run SQL queries is a plus.
β€’ Previous experience within the consumer products industry is a plus.
β€’ Experience prioritizing multiple tasks, managing tasks, and adapting to a changing environment.
β€’ Knowledge of process analysis and design preferred.
β€’ Able to prioritize and manage multiple tasks while working and adapting to a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
β€’ Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
β€’ Ability to understand business impact and prioritize assignments.
β€’ Able to work hours necessary to complete assigned tasks.
β€’ Willing to travel up to 10% of the time by car or plane.
