TEAM UP WITH US!
We are looking for a dynamic, highly motivated and results driven Power Systems Sales Representative. The Power Systems Sales Representative is a critical member of the sales team and plays a vital role in growing the business. The Power Systems Sales Representative is responsible for developing and enhancing sales coverage within their assigned territory for customers with standby electric, oil and gas, industrial, and rental power needs. The Power Systems Sales Representative's primary focus is on the sales and rental of Caterpillar and Allied products, including but not limited to: specific engine applications, electric power generation, temperature control, and compressed air. This position requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as a strong understanding of the power systems industry, Caterpillar and Allied products.
DO YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES?
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
  • Prospect for new customers by compiling lists of prospective customers for use as sales leads, based on information from newspapers, business directories, industry ads, trade shows, internet web sites, and other sources.
  • Work with the marketing team to develop and execute sales campaigns.
  • Travel throughout assigned territory to call on regular and prospective customers to solicit orders or talk with customers on sales floor or by phone.
  • Display or demonstrates product, using samples or catalog, while emphasizing salable features.
  • Quote prices and credit terms; prepare sales contracts for orders obtained.
  • Estimate date of delivery to customer, based on knowledge of own firm's production and delivery schedules.
  • Prepare reports of business transactions and maintain expense accounts.
  • Track stock levels.
  • Coordinate customer training.
  • Enter new customer data and other sales data for current customers into the CRM system.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with current and prospective customers.
  • Investigate and resolve customer problems with deliveries.
  • Attend trade shows.
  • Develop and maintain product knowledge; stay informed of industry trends.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of three (3) years' experience in equipment sales.
  • Experience related to rental or heavy machinery a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of CAT and Allied products.
  • Strong verbal/written communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong persuasion and negotiation skills.
  • Computer experience, DBS, PC and CRM.
  • Must have valid drivers' license and clean driving record.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Moderate computer skills. Familiar with web navigation, experience working with databases.
