JOB SUMMARY:

The Power Generation Sales Representative is responsible for promoting and selling power generation equipment and solutions to businesses, industries, and government agencies. Responsible for building relationships with potential clients, understanding their power needs, and propose solutions that meet these needs.


Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • None.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Identifies and targets potential clients through cold calling, networking, trade shows, and industry research.
  • Works closely with the technical, sales and customer support teams to ensure client requirements are met.
  • Qualifies prospects, identifies opportunities, assesses project needs and rapidly quotes solutions within our product offerings.
  • Reads and accurately interprets electrical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
  • Continuously develops product, industry and technical knowledge to better assist design engineers and clients with unit selection.
  • Submits required sales forms to project management to facilitate the after-sale process.
  • Utilize our lead management, system configurator and CRM software to quote and document.
  • Stays updated with the latest trends, technologies, and advancements in the power generation industry.
  • Develops tailored proposals that meet the unique needs of each client and conducts presentations and demonstrations of power generation equipment and solutions to potential clients.
  • Builds and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring their power needs are continuously met.
  • Achieves or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
  • Monitors competitors, market conditions, and industry developments.
  • Participates in training sessions, workshops, and seminars to enhance product knowledge and sales skills.
  • Stays informed about regulatory requirements and changes related to power generation in different regions.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Education & Certifications:

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in related field preferred.
  • Valid driver license and a clean driving record.

Experience:

  • Minimum three years of experience as a power generation sales representative or similar role.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times.
