Job description

Job Title: Associate Sales Representative Department: Sales/Marketing
Reports To: National Sales Manager FLSA Status: Exempt/ Salary Supervise the work of others: No Position Summary:
The Associate Sales Representative (ASR) can be field-based or work from the AMT Brecksville office, reporting to the National Sales Manager or local Regional Sales Manager, and assisting the AMT Field Sales Organization in attaining business goals. The candidate must create and maintain an understanding of relevant medical/surgical markets, products, relevant medical conditions, channels of distribution, and key industry leaders. The candidate must be willing to travel as needed to support AMT Field Sales activity. This position will be filled with sales candidate for development and eventual promotion to Enteral Sales Specialist. This candidate should be able to relocate within a reasonable parameter of geographical preferences throughout the United States. Travel will be up to 75%.
Incentive program and goals will be based on developing and sustaining profitable sales growth.
Duties and Responsibilities:
This list represents the most common / important duties of the position. Other duties are required and/or assigned.
• Maintain communication with Regional Sales Managers and Sales Representatives regarding field sales objectives and needs
• Travel as needed to support account conversions / attend cases / deliver product in-services and provide any needed support to the AMT Field Sales Team
• Assist Sales Reps in sales attainment by generating appointments in their territory
• Compile and forward sales leads to Sales Reps
• Assist Brecksville based training / assist during National Sales Meetings
• Assist in the creation of sales and marketing tools for AMT products
• Assist National Sales Manager with sales support activity and communication
• Travel as needed and to tradeshows/conferences
• Work with the Sales Leadership Team to develop skills necessary to develop into a Territory Sales Representative (Enteral Product Specialist)
• Project in a positive and professional manner
• Be a positive contributor in a team environment
• General office and other duties as assigned
Preferred Requirements:
• Some sales experience preferred. Candidate must have the ability to handle complex situations, be able to influence, project a positive attitude, and show a strong history of success.
• Track record of working effectively on a team, influence management, and demonstrating the ability to successfully accomplish multiple complex tasks simultaneously.
• Highly competent in Microsoft office to include Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Thorough understanding of needs/analysis selling
• Excellent listening and communication skills
• An understanding of contract administration
• Business acumen with demonstrated leadership abilities
Language Skills:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
