Job description

Sales Manager

Build and Lead the Team That Drives Revenue

Why This Role Matters
Filtrous is growing fast, and revenue growth doesn't happen by accidentit happens when a talented sales team is hired, trained, and led by someone who delivers results, not excuses. As our Sales Manager, you'll build a high-performance team from the ground up: hiring and ramping Account Executives and SDRs, designing the sales process, aligning with marketing, and driving the numbers that fuel our expansion. This isn't a seat-warming management role. You'll be on the front lines, coaching reps, closing pipeline gaps, and owning the revenue targets that determine how fast Filtrous scales.

What You'll Do
Build the Team: Hire, onboard, and ramp 2 Account Executives who hit at least 80% of key performance metrics within 90 days. Recruit and coach 4 SDRs who are on track to graduate to AE roles within 180 days, building a consistent outbound engine.
Maximize Every Lead: Ensure 100% of inbound leads are booked into sales appointments by refining handoffs, follow-ups, and workflows. Increase median order value by 10% through improved discovery, solution selling, and upsell tactics within the first 3060 days.
Align Sales and Marketing: Collaborate with marketing to review and provide feedback on 30+ MQLs per month and increase conversion to qualified opportunities. Build tight feedback loops that optimize campaigns and lead quality.
Design the Playbook: Document and implement a clear sales process across the team within the first 30 days to enable scalable, repeatable growth.
Hit the Number: Consistently lead the team to hit monthly revenue quotas with clear plans, accountability rhythms, and performance coaching that drives results.
Report with Precision: Deliver weekly and monthly reports tracking pipeline movement, close rates, deal velocity, and rep performance. Maintain 90%+ forecast accuracy using clean pipeline data and consistent tracking.

Problems You Will Solve
No sales team to build on: Filtrous has no in-house sellers yet, so revenue rests on whoever happens to be selling rather than a trained team, and growth stays capped until account executives and reps are hired and ramped.
Interested buyers go unbooked: Not every person who reaches out actually gets booked into a sales conversation, so genuine interest leaks away and deals that could have closed never even start.
Orders close too small: Deals are landing below their potential because discovery and upselling are weak, leaving money on the table on sales the company has already won.
No agreed read on lead quality: Marketing passes over prospects each month without a tight, shared loop on which ones are any good, so the company keeps chasing weak leads and cannot sharpen its campaigns.
No written way to sell: There is no documented, repeatable sales method, so every deal is handled differently and results swing unpredictably, which makes steady, dependable growth impossible.

How Success is Measured
2 Account Executives hired, onboarded, and hitting 80%+ of KPIs within 90 days
4 SDRs recruited and on track for AE graduation within 180 days
100% of inbound leads booked into sales appointments
Median order value increased by 10% within the first 3060 days
Documented sales process implemented across the team within 30 days
90%+ sales forecast accuracy delivered monthly

Why You'll Love It Here
At Filtrous, you won't be managing a team inside a bloated corporate hierarchy. You'll be building the sales engine from scratch, with direct access to the CEO and every department leader. You'll have the autonomy to design processes, hire your own team, and implement the strategies you believe in. Your impact will be visible in the revenue numbers, and as Filtrous grows, the sales organization you build will be the foundation that makes that growth possible. If you thrive on ownership, results, and building something from the ground up, this is your role.

Who You Are
Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, or a related field
3+ years of experience in B2B sales or sales leadership roles, preferably in high-growth or startup environments
Proven track record of consistently hitting or exceeding team revenue targets and KPIs
Experience hiring, onboarding, and developing high-performing AE and SDR teams
Proficiency with CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and sales enablement tools (e.g., Outreach, Salesloft, Gong)
Experience using forecasting and pipeline management tools to deliver accurate sales projections
Comfortable analyzing sales metrics and dashboards to drive decisions and team coaching
Strong leadership and coaching abilities with a focus on accountability and growth
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills across all levels of an organization
Highly organized with a process-oriented mindset and a bias toward action
Bonus points if you have:
MBA or advanced degree
Background in the life sciences, biotechnology, or laboratory supplies industry
Adaptable and resilient, with experience leading through change in a fast-paced environment
