Beauty Systems Group, branded as Cosmo Prof or Armstrong McCall stores, along with its direct sales consultants, sell professionally branded products intended for use and resale by salons to retail consumers.
Essential Function:
In coordination with vendors, the Merchandise department, stores and FS management determines optimum purchase quantities of promotional and sell-through products be vendor by month.
Primary Duties
  • Provide clear, concise statements using action verbs to describe what is done, with or for whom the action is taken and the purpose or outcome to be achieved. Responsibilities should be listed in order of percentage of time spent performing the actual duty.
  • 15% Analyze product sales history, current inventory and factors influencing successful and unsuccessful sales results.
  • 20% Determine optimum purchase quantities of existing products considering sales history and likely continuation of appeal for the products.
  • 20% Determine optimum purchase quantities of new products considering product features, similarity to and differentiation from existing products and anticipated demand for the new products based on those features.
  • 20% Maintain communication and interaction, including monthly group calls as needed with key stakeholders (vendors, merchandise staff, marketing, FS management) Gather and consolidate input from stakeholders relative to product info, trends, needs, plan adjustments, etc. Builds scorecards and various means of tracking and communication for current promotions and incentives.
  • 20% Develop monthly sell-through and promotion sales plans and distribute them to the store and FS management.
  • 5% Coordinates manufacturer Focus Month project management for all sales channels to ensure necessary task timelines are met by team leads including merchandising, stores, Full Service, ecommerce and manufacturers. Coordinate with vendors to develop a booth revenue sales plan for each show.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Bachelors degree in a business discipline, math or statistics.
  • 2 years in a position requiring data analysis, problem solving and developing recommendations in a business environment.
  • Proficient in MS Excel Word.
  • Knowledge of BSG and vendor merchandise ordering, inventory and distribution processes.
  • Knowledge of the business characteristics and processes of stores and a FS organization.

Working conditions & physical requirements
Location: Hybrid | Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday at the Sally Beauty Support Center, Legacy West (Plano, TX); Remote Thursday and Friday
The typical working environment is in the support center office, and the work is sedentary. Typically, the associate may sit comfortably to do the job. However, some tasks and activities may be walking, standing, bending, carrying light items such as papers, files, books, and small parts, driving an automobile to a store location, etc. These activities are not frequent and do not require significant physical demands to perform the work.
While involving everyday risks or discomforts, the work environment is designed with standard safety precautions. These precautions, typical of offices, meeting and training rooms, retail stores, residences, or commercial vehicles, include using safe work practices with office equipment, avoiding trips and falls, observing fire regulations and traffic signals, etc. The work area is adequately lighted, heated, and ventilated, ensuring the safety and comfort of our associates.
