TheArea Sales Performance Managerdirects a team withinassignedarea of responsibility.Leads all forms of ancillary revenue and customer service within assigned area.Identifiesrevenue and service opportunities and develops and executes growth strategies.Trains and coaches RSPMs and Field Management, in implementingappropriate processesand methods to achieve and exceed goals.Partner with North American Operations, Human Resources, Marketing,Salesand IT to develop plans and programs focused on operational and service excellence and the respective training and communication needed to achieve the company's financial, strategic and Customer Ledobjectives.

Participates in and may organize and control the activities of project teams, assigning personnel to the various aspects of theprojectand directing their activities.Collaborate with theappropriate stakeholdersto transition great customer "ideas" to execution and implementation. Responsible and accountable for the ultimate project achievement and relative metrics for success.Assistsin the management of all phases of the project life cycle, including analysis, design, development,testingandimplementation.Participates in and may coordinate project related activities with other functional groups or external vendors.Essential duties and responsibilities, shown below, will vary accordingly based onassignment.

What You'll Do:

  • Partners with various business units within the company toidentifyand analyze areas of sales and revenue generation opportunities for products and/or services.Develops strategies to execute opportunities in support of business goals.

  • Develops strong relationships at all levels tofacilitateattainment of Avis Budget Group's revenue and service goals

  • Communicates with and supports Area Key Stakeholders to ensure the ABG Service and Sales process is being followed in an ethical and approved manner.

  • Partner with Area finance team to analyze and adjust incentiveprogramtooptimizecost of sale.

  • MonitorsSRPM's overall effectiveness, productivity, and results.Executes local training programs while keeping up to date on new training methods and techniques.

  • Trains, mentors, andcoachesmanagement and associates in revenue generation performance and overall sales and service effectiveness.

  • Develops andmaintainsCounter Sales training materials.

  • Think creatively about ways in which we canoptimizeeach customer's car rental experience and enhance their experience by offering products suited to their individual needs.

  • Demonstrates an ability todetermineroot cause analysis andutilizeresources to provideappropriate solutions.

  • Assists in developing andreporting onprocess metrics around service level performance and revenue generation performance.

  • Develops and produces metrics andanalysispresentations for executives.

  • Leads assigned Division projects andis responsible fortracking key project milestones, escalating issues, and adjusting project plans to accurately reflect the project's progress.

  • Responsible for project planning, scheduling, and status reporting.

  • Focusproject design efforts on the needs of key users.

  • Ensuresproper staffing and scheduling to maximize the effectiveness of the SRPM function.

  • Conducts annual performance appraisals for direct reports, recommends salary increases, provides individual feedback to improve performance, andinitiatescorrective action in response to personnel problems.

  • Oversees the training of new employees to perform their duties in a manner consistent with company standards.

What We're Looking For:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Businessor related fieldrequired.

  • Minimum of five (5)yearsAirport or Local Market Operations experience.Experience interacting with all levels of management/staff and across company linesrequired.

  • Minimum of seven (7)yearsmanagement experience.

  • Strong strategic planning, problem solving, analyticalmanagementand implementation skills.

  • Knowledge and prior experience of ancillary sales, performance leadership, training, and/or Quality Assurance standards.

  • Knowledge and understanding of effective sales techniques and principles.

  • Strong interpersonal, organization, and time management skills.

  • Strong PC skills including knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

  • Persuasive and motivational verbal and written communication and presentation skills with all audience levels including line employees as well as senior executives

  • Ability to balance cyclical daily,weeklyand monthly demands with project work in afast pacedenvironment with high volume and complex demands.

  • Attention to detail and ability to manage successfully towards timelines.

  • Exceptional negotiating, influencing and persuasion skills such as the ability to use data to support recommendations and influence outcomes

  • Ability to deal with ambiguity - ask questions,stateassumptionsand move forward - and adapt to change rapidly in response to business conditions and priorities

  • Ability to build effective partnerships and relationships with various levels of the Company

  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to provide direction and support to others

  • Willingness to take risks in proposing new and innovative ideas based on research, collaboration, and creativity

  • Travel Industry experience is a plus

  • This position requires significant Travel

The annual starting salary for this position is between $85,000-$100,000 annually. Factors that may affect starting pay within this range include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
