Department: Sales Operations
Location: Winston-Salem, NC (on site)
Duration: Summer Internship (10–12 weeks)
Reports to: Director of Sales Operations
Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated undergraduate intern to support our Sales Operations team by identifying opportunities to reduce manual, repetitive work within sales-related roles through better use of technology. This intern will partner closely with sales team members to understand day‑to‑day workflows, document inefficiencies, and evaluate tools or system enhancements that could streamline work, improve accuracy, or save time.
This internship offers hands-on exposure to business process analysis, sales operations, and emerging technology applications in a real-world corporate environment.
Key Responsibilities
  • Shadow a designated sales-related role (e.g., Inside Sales, Field Sales, or Sales Support) to understand daily workflows and tasks
  • Document current-state processes, focusing on repetitive, manual, or error‑prone activities
  • Identify and prioritize process pain points based on time, frequency, and business impact
  • Research existing internal tools (e.g., CRM, Microsoft tools) and external technologies that could support process improvement
  • Evaluate potential solutions at a high level, including:
    • Fit for the identified task or process
    • Ease of adoption
    • Estimated cost (where applicable)
    • Expected qualitative or directional quantitative benefits
  • Summarize findings and recommendations in clear, professional documentation
  • Present final recommendations to Sales Operations leadership at the end of the internship
Desired Qualifications
  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Operations, Analytics, Industrial Distribution, or a related field
